Daniel (a.k.a. – The Axe Wielder) was approached in his sleep by Knowledge Wizards from the planet Gamealot and instructed to utilize their proprietary Necra Mind Orbs to distribute information pertaining to the interactive entertainment industry so that they could somehow feed their Moon Mother and prolong their existence. So…he did it.

Ever changing and always thought provoking, the goals of the EpicBattleAxe.com staff and its followers is to KNOW what’s going on in gaming and SHARE our opinions on the issues that matter most. In 2010, EpicBattleAxe.com realaunched with the vision to become the ULTIMATE source of gaming industry commentary that both empowers and informs the gaming masses as a new generation of gamers wields the mighty Epic Battle Axe. So, how did we plan on doing that???
INFORM - Aggregating info from around the web, EpicBattleAxe.com serves as a one stop shop for all industry-related news. By centralizing the headlines and content feeds (via a combination of RSS and hand-picked items from around the web) of gaming’s most popular destination, EpicBattleAxe.com delivers a top down view of the gaming landscape at any given moment. Within seconds of loading the EBA home page, viewers can see the most recent five headlines from outlets such as Joystiq, Kotaku, Destructoid, Shacknews, and more. Featured EBA stories and original content are also immediately visible along with Freshly Sliced News bits selected by the EBA staff designed to highlight interesting content from around the web. In this way, EBA.com is becoming known as THE PLACE to rant and rave about the gaming industry in a productive, though-provoking manner. The charge is led by none other than the EBA staff itself whose weekly posts suggest topics for Battle Cries and whose industry-leading podcast contains their very own Battle Cries of the week.
WHAT’S IN A NAME?
As a gamer for the last 20-something years, it has been absolutely amazing to see the industry evolve into the mainstream. Over the years gaming has provided innumerable amounts of quality entertainment experiences and inspired various individuals to change the way they think about interactive entertainment. Now, with this internet thing doing pretty well, it seems that there are countless resources for information pertaining to our favorite past time. So, why add another? Well, my feeling is that I want to create a FUN, ENTERTAINING and INFORMATIVE place for gamers to go. To cut down on things we can do without and deliver the information and commentary gamers really want. Basically, to cut down on the BS and deliver the goods. So, in thinking of how best to cut, slice and otherwise trim the fat around the web, I came up with the concept of utilizing an EPIC BATTLE AXE to do just that…Also, it was issued to me in said vision about the Knowledge Wizards and their quest to feed their Moon Mother…which seems like a not-so-bad thing…Now, it is the viewers who wield the ‘Axe as they access up-to-the-minute info and get the real deal on the gaming industry on EpicBattleAxe.com.
“Cutting through the crap to deliver the gaming news you really want.” That’s what we do and that’s what EpicBattleAxe is all about and so we’ve set out to mercilessly cleave the fat from the gaming news of the day with our EpicBattleAxe. Oh, and we wanna have fun around here…These are games after all and last time I checked, gaming is supposed to be fun more often than not.
