
Despite its expected launch in just a few short weeks, GameStop.com is listing the release date for Obsidian’s upcoming espionage RPG Alpha Protocol as June 1, 2010, which would mean the highly-anticipated project would once again be delayed. Further substantiating what currently stands as a rumored delay is a listing on Amazon.ca, which pegs the game for a release in the same time frame. Neither publisher SEGA or developer Obsidian have officially commented, but our inside track also indicates that the game will in fact be delayed…we’re just not positive on the new official release date. Kinda sucks, but we’ll keep you posted as more details emerge.









Though I was waiting on the game it wasn’t one that I had originally planned to pick up Q4. That date may be a better one for its sales if there aren’t as many sequels/blockbusters coming through around then.

Well, kind of…You see, there’s been no official statement on the matter, other than the official Alpha Protocol page on SEGA’s website being updated with the new release date, once again, ON THE DAY IT WAS SUPPOSED TO COME OUT! Hell, the game’s official website still lists it as “coming Oct. 2009″ (as of this post anyway) with the latest news update being from early September and pertaining to a PAX media update for the game.
