Japanese independent developer Naoki Sagawa’s visual novel And Yet, I Love You has been pulled from the Indie Games portion of XBL due to “visual reminders of sexual assault.”

Microsoft Europe contacted Sagawa and named the three instances where they believed these reminders take place, they are:

-One of the girl’s hands is restrained.

-The girl is being pushed down.

-The girl’s underwear is visible.

Despite asking the game to be distributed in Japan only and even offering to edit the scenes to appease Microsoft Europe, Microsoft threatened to suspend Sagawa’s account if the game was not taken down. Thus And Yet, I Love You is no longer part of the Indie Games line-up.

How can Microsoft Europe ban a game from all regions despite the game only infringing Europe’s censoring? Well, apparently all Indie Games have to abide to the censorship laws of ALL regions, not just where the game was made.

So, there you have it…if you were at all interested at picking up And Yet, I Love You, you can blame Microsoft Europe for not being able to. Got to love censorship!
