We know this is a bit tardy, but better late then never, right? In a tip of the hat to QuakeCon 2010, Bethesda Softworks and id Software have become the most recent companies to become part of a Steam sale. Over the four days of the show, August 12-15, both companies will be discounting their games on Steam, with the deals changing daily.

The first day’s sale, which runs until 9am Pacific time today, was for the GOTY Edition and GOTY Deluxe Editions of Elder Scrolls Oblivion. As for the remaining days of the sale -well, you will have to check the sale page each day to find out – they’re just not saying.

However, throughout the four days of the sale, Steam is offering up the QuakeCon Pack for $69.99. The pack contains 27 items including Fallout 3, Elder Scrolls Oblivion and Morrowind, Doom 3, Wolfenstein 3D, Quake (of course), and many others.

Be sure and check Steam daily for the new sales.
