Worry not, gentle knights of the PS3, Castle Crashers will officially grace your kingdom August 31 for the plebian price of $15.
The game will hit PSN almost exactly two years after its release and immense success on XBLA, and after one and a half years of development for the console, according to The Behemoth blog’s announcement.
If you’re a fan of Castle Crashers, The Behemoth is also working on it’s third quirky, side-scroller title, BattleBlock Theatre, which they’re billing as “a story about friendship, betrayal, and a whole truck load of cats.” Check out the trailer straight from the developer blog!

Castle Crashers on the PS3! awesome. I played it once or twice on my friends 360′s very brielfy, and loved it both times. I will pick this up for sure.
The new 15 dollar standard shouldn’t be used for a game that’s 2 years old.
I’m kinda unhappy that we had to wait so long, mostly because I played it on friends 360, and obviously they wouldn’t let me steal them. Because they used the excuse “but I want to play Castle Crashers”. Which was a likely story. But man… that doesn’t matter at all seeing as the date of release is so close.
But its good to see, as a customer side, that good games are spreading to other consoles. And creators that really should get payed more, are getting payed with make games we all love.

I agree, even if the game on PSN has new features. This is overpriced for a 2 year game.
it sucks that ps3-users had to wait 2 years for this(luckily for me I played the hell out of it when I had an xbox), but better that than never i guess. LoktarOgar I agree with you; way too expensive for a 2 year old game

If your gana complain about it being overpriced then don’t get it, that simple. No reason to complain, when you can so easily solve it. I mean, they spent time, and money to make it, So why shouldn’t they get payed what they want? Sure I would love it to be free, but then we wouldn’t see any more games from them.

What are you talking about? Even if doesn’t have online and not that much customization, is a fare 9.99 fun game. I will beat the crap out of the Zombie mode for a while even after CC comes out.

I like how you are complaining about the pricing, and how long it took. I mean a few months ago, I bet you were just waiting for the release day to be announced. And don’t complain about it being “over priced” for a 2 year old game. If your going to complain, DON’T GET THE GAME. That simple, so shut up and be happy you got it.
And it was 15 guys, having to learn how to make the game for the PSN, its not easy to learn a new code quickly, and to remake everything, and make it so it runs just as well as the 360 version, so they didn’t have idiots sayings things like, “You should have taken longer, our version is inferior”.
So if your going to complain, just look at this they didn’t have to even work on it for the PSN, the would have made more money, just putting the entire team on Battlerock, getting it out sooner. And then working on the next game.
SO SHUT UP AND BE HAPPY.

Castle Crashers along with a few other 360 exclusives was one of the reasons i wanted a 360. But as the list became smaller and now (because of Castle Crashers release on PS3) does not exist. Any one who is on the fence on weather to buy a PS3 should have an easy time making the choice. Shank ,25th + Castle Crashers, 31st = Sweet summer!
