Dragon Age Director Leaves BioWare

EA Sports Complex Hits Home

EA has announced that the EA Sports Complex has launched on PlayStation Home. The newly created space offers users a place to “play a variety of unique casual multiplayer games with friends in PlayStation Home, as well as view exclusive game trailers and videos, to learn more about their favorite EA Sports games.”  No word on whether or not you can wash down a virtual pint in the sports bar-like atmosphere though…

At launch, EA Sports Complex will feature a tournament-style Texas Hold ‘Em Poker game and EA Sports Racing featuring formula-style cars. 

“We are extremely proud of the compelling and immersive online offerings that are available at launch for EA Sports Complex,” said Rob Burnett, senior producer.  “EA Sports Complex is a dynamic space and was specifically designed to appeal to not only the hardcore sports fan but casual gamers alike.”

PAX 2009 Detailed

LEGO Rock Band Announced

It’s official, LEGO TOTALLY ROCKS! Warner Bros. and TT Games are joining forces with the LEGO Group, Harmonix and MTV Games to deliver the often rumoured LEGO Rock Band. The game is being billed as a “unique family-friendly music experience” and is currently in development with a release scheduled on pretty much every platform for later this year. 

As far as tracks go, right now we know that the game will feature a combination of “brilliant chart-topping songs and classic favourites suitable for younger audiences”, including:

  • Blur: “Song 2”
  • Carl Douglas: “Kung Fu Fighting”
  • Europe: “The Final Countdown”
  • Good Charlotte: “Boys and Girls”
  • Pink: “So What”
