All fun and good, but wasn’t Sony in a pickle with their Privacy Policy? And now they are advancing this new stage of their Privacy Policy? Is it me, or do I smell something burning?

Anyways, this name change at least gives us a view of what Sony wants for the future. One account, one goal, one target for Anonymous… Ho wait, did I say that last thing out loud?

If you’re planning on picking up a shiny new PlayStation Vita when it releases this February, you’re gonna need to steal a few more dollars out of your granmaw’s cabinet, as the handheld’s memory cards are pretty pricey.

The prices for the 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB cards are $29.99, $44.99, $69.99, and $119.99 respectively, and as noted back in late October, some games, like Uncharted: Golden Abyss, require a card, so there’s no escaping it!

Well, what will it be? Will you attempt to get the ultimate Vita experience by opting for the $120 32GB card?

At a preview event held in London, SVP, Worldwide Studios Europe Michael Denny, highlighted the message that PlayStation Vita is a state-of-the-art portable device, with games at its heart, by announcing the full range of PS Vita launch titles, including two new 1st Party titles, Unit 13 and MotorStorm RC, as well as unveiling a range of augmented reality experiences for PS Vita. Commenting on the announced software line up, Denny called it “one of the best launch line ups of any games console, ever launched.”

SCEE PS Vita titles confirmed as available at launch on February 22 2012 are:

Of course, the list will be reinforced by 3rd party offerings which will launch alongside the console in February. While the North American launch lineup will most likely be very similar to the list you see above, we’ll bring you official details on that front as soon as we get word.

The “VGAs” will recognize the best games of the year and present exclusive world premieres of what’s next when the show premieres LIVE, coast‐to‐coast on Saturday, December 10 at 8:00 PM ET/5:00 PM PT on Spike TV in high‐definition. Guests include legendary game designer Hideo Kojima who will reveal the truth about Metal Gear Solid: Rising with a spectacular world premiere, the announcement of a new project and new studio from BioWare, and the return of hero Alan Wake in an all new adventure.

According to Famitsu, the PlayStation Vita’s external memory cards will ultimately be a required purchase, as some games are said to not load without it, such as Uncharted: Golden Abyss.

As noted last week, these cards are also required for game saves, as opposed to saving data on the game’s cart or on the system itself.

Although we were all probably going to buy a memory card anyway, it kind of sucks how they’re basically a requirement for some games.

SCEA’s Jack Tretton took the stage at the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco today to announce what many have been clamoring for: The launch date for the PlayStation Vita. Well, now we know that our dirty little mits will be able to hold one of Sony’s innovative new devices on February 22, 2012 in the United States, Canada, Latin America, and Europe–a wait that isn’t as long as many thought.

As noted at E3, a WiFi-only model will retail for $249.99, and its WiFi/3G-enabled brethren will retail for $299.99.

So, who’s headed to the store tomorrow to pre-order this bad boy, if you haven’t done so already, that is?

Capcom has unveiled the official release date for its cross-franchise-truf-war. A post on the Capcom Unity Blog has revealed that Street Fighter X Tekken is headed to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 March 9th, 2012. A version for PC and PS Vita is also in the works, but no further release details were announced.

We also learned that Rufus from Street Fighter IV would be on the roster and also found out the U.S. special edition would include a build-it-yourself arcade cabinet bank (approximately 5″H),
an exclusive prequel comic book by UDON, 36 gems: includes all pre-order packs plus an exclusive pack, pre-order bonus: nine exclusive gems only available for pre-ordering the SE, resulting in a total of 45 gems if you pre-order.
