Rush_n_Attack_Ex-Patriot
Dude, this is AWESOME! During its Gamer Night event in San Fran, Konami has announced Rush’ N Attack Ex-Patriot, a modern day adaptation of the classic title that will be coming our way this Fall for both XBLA and PSN. WOOT!

The description of the game is as follows:

At the height of the Cold War, the CIA discovered that the Russians have found a never-before-seen material used to create devastating nuclear missiles so the CIA formed a secret branch called “Harvest” to infiltrate and investigate the Soviet weapons program. The Cold War soon ends without a bang and the operation is discontinued. Decades later, new operative Sergeant Sid Morrow, call sign “Wolf Spider”, is tasked with retrieving an abandoned member of Harvest, re-evaluating the missile threat, and sabotaging it if necessary.

In Rush‘N Attack Ex-Patriot, a clandestine struggle exists between Russia and the United States for military intelligence during the shadows of the Cold War. Through three massive environments of a Siberian prison complex, a bio-weapons laboratory, and a nuclear weapons base players will need to complete a variety of missions and survive encounters with elite Russian soldiers.

Players choose their own gameplay style by moving through each level loud and fast or silent and deadly. As they find themselves almost always outnumbered, players must avoid constant detection from the vigilant guards and the unblinking eyes of security cameras. Armed with a little more than a knife, the players will have to scrounge for weapons and supplies to survive as they are truly behind enemy lines.

Key Features:

Stealth Combat Action – Using both stealth and brute force, players will escape from their imprisonment with a new level of action

Fast Paced Platforming – Stay sharp and move quickly as you progress towards your objectives through challenging platforming

Massive Levels – Fight your way through three environments with multiple levels full of hidden items, secret locations, and relentless soldiers trying to track you down

Killer Graphics – Built on the Unreal Engine, players will have a visual feast that is unparalleled in other downloadable games

Quite the timely announcement considering all the 2D gaming talk going on this week, eh? Feel free to share your thoughts on this project in the comments section below and of course we’ll keep you posted on any new info as it emerges. For now, check out the debut trailer after the jump below.

It seems like just when we were just starting to get sick of all the Companion Cube and Glados memes, something like this comes along to rekindle our interest in Portal (as if we needed that). Check out the below video of The Gifford Children’s Choir performing the song of the end credits of Portal, “Still Alive” by Jonathan Coulton. Oh, and by the way, if you haven’t finished Portal, the song is pretty much a BIG SPOILER, so get off the damn Internets and play the game already!!! Seriously…It’s awesome…

Yeah, so, EpicBattleAxe.com’s Brent and DK recently sat down to open Brent’s newly arrived God of War III Ultimate Edition box set. Beer, sharp objects, and bad puns ensued…all in a day’s work for the lords of the Axe.

SOCOM fans that already heard this week’s announcement of SOCOM 4 and then tuned into last night’s GTTV to check out the debut teaser might also be interesting in scoping the below “Director’s Commentary” of said trailer which includes, as one might suspect, commentary that delivers “key information” about the game.

How..vague…

This according to the Official US PlayStation Blog post where I happened to find it, and since it so vague and somewhat intriguing, why not join me in watching the vid and finding out what this “key information” really is…It’ll be like going on a secret mission or something.

We KNOW for a fact that there are PLENTY of you that are enjoying RedLynx’s Trials HD so we’re letting you know that the dev has launched a new YouTube channel, RedLynx TV, to showcase and support your passion for virtually breaking your neck. The new channel highlights “player-demanded” content, such as tutorials, tournaments, and other valuable info about RedLynx games.

“Trials HD is our hottest game to date,” said Tero Virtala, CEO of RedLynx. “Ever since its launch, players have been clamouring for tips, tricks, and extra goodies. With this dedicated YouTube channel, we can reward them directly, developer to gamer.”

RedLynx TV will feature a mix of ‘official info’ and user-generated content created spontaneously by the player community. An example of this are the Trials HD videos created for RedLynx TV. These videos were created by John Lloyd of Michigan, USA, a dedicated Trials player and a graphic design/video creation professional, in cooperation with RedLynx. Lloyd’s videos feature tips and tricks, user-created levels, and the first ever RedLynx TV contest.

“John’s work had a level of dedication to the game we could not ignore,” said Antti Ilvessuo, creative director and co-founder of RedLynx. “Our games are about community, so we had to come up with a way to share this passion with everyone. We’re starting with Trials but we want to talk with our fans about all of our games, going forward. This is a great way to get that started.”

Cool, so, check out the first video above or head to the aforementioned YouTube channel for more.

So we already know that Capcom will be bringing Street Fighter IV to the iPhone, but up until now, we haven’t had the chance to actually see the game in action. Well, feast your eyes on the below video which, courtesy of Slide to Play, showcases the rather impressive looking title in action…That is, until you consider the controls, which look cumbersome at best…Anyway, watch the vid and judge for yourself!

A post on the Official PlayStation blog this morning invites gamers to step up to the plate and check out the new “Real Time” presentation mode in the upcoming PS3-exclusive MLB 10: The Show. Available with replays or without, Real Time is a new presentation mode designed to further enhance the realism that the popular baseball simulation title offers. The below video has a few examples of the mode in action, so if you’re interested, give it a look. I do encourage you to go back and read the post though as it has a good explanation about what you’re seeing in the video to help you better understand what it’s all about.

MLB 10: The Show ships March 2, 2010.

BioShock2SE
Unboxing vids aren’t generally of the “GREAT” variety, but when you combine a great game, with a great special edition, and a great gag, well…Greatness ensues. Don’t take my word for it though, check out the official BioShock 2 Special Edition unboxing video after the jump…it’s pretty great.
