Crytek has partnered with Microsoft to create an action game that will debut exclusively on Xbox 360, titled Codename: Kingdoms.
In the brief teaser trailer, a wounded Spartan-esque warrior marches through a dark and smoldering battlefield, where he is joined by two equally bloodied soldiers. The booming narration is as mysterious as the wartime scene.
Microsoft Game Studios vice president Phil Spencer went into further detail after the press conference, saying Codename: Kingdoms will probably feature a mix of first-person and third-person perspectives, and it is definitely a straightforward action game.
Crytek is best known for the Crysis franchise, Far Cry and the creation of the CryEngine. Crysis 2 is due out late this year for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

Like Gears did for Unreal, I think Crytek wants to do for Cryengine 3. Partner with MS and create a popular hardcore franchise with them that represents their engine. Could go a long way like Gears and Halo. could flop, either way we need to see more.
I’m very interested in this but again with the freaking Spartans? Couldn’t they have watched an episode of the Deadliest Warrior and picked another badass protagonist? There are and have been lots of other tough guys.
The trailer looked badass atleast but I wanna see some gameplay before I get all hyped about it. =)
Vice-President of Microsoft Game Studios Phil Spencer went further, after the press conference, says Codename: Kingdoms is likely to have a collection of first person and third person, and is definitely an action game simple.
