Okay maybe not, but that’s not really the point; the point is that we’ve heard some rumors today for the previously announced Dead Space 2 multiplayer. GamerNode reports that in addition to a deathmatch-style mode, where players will control both Necromorphs (\m/) and soldiers, there will be other multiplayer modes announced later.
Additionally, (and most shockingly) pre-ordering through GameStop will net you an exclusive in-game rivet gun but, on the uptick, pre-ordering anywhere will get you Dead Space: Ignition, the motion-comic prequel detailing events leading up to Dead Space 2. So, hit the comments; who’s picking up Dead Space 2? Who can’t wait to eat their friend’s brains as a Necromorph? Who else thinks those Necro-baby-zombie-things are pretty much the scariest thing imaginable?
oh this game looks amazing, this is what uncharted 2 was to uncharted… especially how they are implementing multiplayer in the sequel… but this multiplayer is guna be way more kick ass!! dismemberment deathmatch and acid raining pukefest! f**k yea!
I need to see more of the multiplayer to ease my nearves but DS2 looks really good
Looks like they are doing for Dead Space what they did to the Alien franchise…Aliens kicked ass, but it lost some of the atmosphere and scares of the first.
cannot wait for deadspace 2, biggest fan, i have stopped watching all media for it though as i really want to experience the game as i did the first one by not really seeing anything, but details like this i love, cannot wait to play multiplayer, and even to get ignition when you pre order, love to have everything deadspace

Sounds cool, hopefully it plays well. You can never tell when you start trying to balance two different play styles how it’s going to work out.
Sounds a bit like L4D, which I have no problem with. Better than ending up like MW2, we have enough of those already.
I think is they do the multiplayer really well then it will be fun. I hope that there is co-op and customization for the multiplayer.
It will be interesting to see what they do with competitive mp…but Dead Space 2 multiplayer is BEGGING for a coop “Horde” mode like Gears of War. Can you imagine playing with 2-4 friends trying to hold off the necromorphs in different areas? That would be f’ing intense. Especially if they had zero gravity areas to fight them in. It would be like Dead Space: Downfall. OMG the anticipation is killing me. In case you haven’t realized, yes, I’m playing this game.
