We here at the ‘Axe are all about generating timely, relevant discussions pertaining to the hottest topics in gaming. Of course, with E3 right around the corner, one of the hottest games going into the show is Epic’s Gears of War 3. Thus far, we’ve seen the debut trailer and a boat load of screens, but you can bet your bloodiest chain-saw that Microsoft will go out of its way to promote the hell out of this game and reveal a ton more info by this time next week.
So, with that in mind, we’re gauging the EBA community’s interest in Gears of War 3 while asking you to sound off on what you want, what you don’t want, what you expect, and what surprises you think Epic will have in store.
Will Gears close out the series in style? Is there anything here to make gamers previously uninterested in the franchise join the fray? We KNOW you’ve got a lot of opinions regarding Gears of War 3, so this is the time to CRY HAVOC AND LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD!!!
Maybe there will come a Gears of War Wars (as in Halo Wars) that tells the origin of E-day
Well the Gears executive producer, just tweeted that he has played the E3 demo. So I am guessing that this obviously means a demo for Gears of War 3 already?!
As long as the Co-Op is still just as fun as their previous titles, and they keep the campy dialogue it should be a real crowd pleaser.

There are just so many more interesting games out there that have blindsided us, like Deus Ex: HR and Infamous 2 which i’m looking forward to so much more.
Dont get me wrong, i’m gonna get gears of war 3, i’m just not feeling it. It’s basically your safe option for fun but doesnt feel that amazing anymore.

First of all, I love the new website design guys , and the Gears of War background really fits the color. Good Job My Axe Lords. Second, I still personally love the Gears franchise and cant wait for Cliffy B’s big announcement. Gears of War may still have it’s bumps as a franchise, but it still is one of my absolute favorites. Yet another 360 franchise milked to the point of exhaustion.
I do have to agree, i really enjoyed the first one, but honestly, it just feels old now. There is nothing fresh or exciting about Gears3, the characters feel stale, the setting feels stale. If they do anything, it needs to go out on a bang, and leave it be.
Played both, part one and two of our steroid, homoerotic protagonists. I was excited for both before and started to feel bored with both in the middle of the game. It’s always spectacular when you see it for the first hours, but the gameplay just doesn’t hold up to it’s expectations. That said, I am definitely not hyped for the third. I will be really happy when it’s finally out and the massive media boost about it is over. Nevertheless it’s defninitely a good game for those who like martial shooters with superb graphics. For me it has nothing to give anymore.
