Hey all, we’re up late, we’re tired, we’re drunk. But we’re also totally pumped over E3. So we jumped on a quick skype call and decided to run through our thoughts on the first day of E3 2009. We talk over our favorite moments from the Microsoft press conference, drool over BioWare’s trailer for The Old Republic, and speak our minds about the Xbox 360 Natal demo.
This is the crew of EpicBattleCry off the cuff, uncut, and on tap.

I totaly agree with u when it comes to the Natal demo it when it comes to the “Wii-ripoff” games but I think useing the technology the used to show off Milo got me thinking. What if u could interact with the characters and have conversation’s with them in something like a GTA, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid and even in a game like the sims.
That could be a total game changer although don’t think we will see that for atleast 4-5 years, it would be extremly cool, could u imagine talking to someone like Solid Snake and have him respond?
They could of course not remove the controller completely, so u would still need the controller for moveing ur character around and that kinda stuff. Because there is no way I’m going to run in one place in my room waveing my arms around prettending I have a gun in my hand. But in a game like Mass Effect it would be perfect since much of the game ur talking to the character. But instead of chooseing some idea of what ur Character is going to say u simply say it ur self and have the other characters respond to u.
This all sounds really sci-fi but I think it could be really cool if they found a way to make it happned.
Enjoyed that guys, now all we need is a website and petition calling for a CG film of star wars done in this way, instead of a cartoon network flip flop I wouldn’t put my athletes foot encrusted right foot in.
Yes and no.
It really sound cool and will be cool if its working as it should. But when I’m playing a game, I sit there with a controller in my hand and I don’t want to do much else.
I got a room mate and already when I’m using teamspeak I got to watch when I say what (push to talk ftw) but now my game is paying attention?
“Dude get me some beer too!” I wonder what the reaction of the NPC’s will be
Guys… I’m a little upset more attention wasn’t paid to Splinter Cell Conviction, if this was EBC I would make my battlecry to you guys, for talking so briefly about a game that quite frankly blew me away. The opening scene in the bathroom was incredible, and everything that followed stayed the course. If Ubisoft truly delivers on this title it could be one of the best games ever made (in my opinion) and that is my not battlecry.
Fu** YEAH! Lucasarts needs make the Old Republic movie and stop making Clone Wars movies! And make Star Wars:Republic at War
