April 16th is gonna be so expensive for me...

I'm interested to try this game out, and if you pre-order from amazon, it comes with the soundtrack on an audio CD.

I need to give my 3DS a bit more love so I'm going to hold off on any PS3 games for the next little while (or until The Last of Us).  I've heard a lot of good stuff about Shin Megami Tensei, so I think it's about time I try it for myself and see what all the hubbub is about.

The soundtrack comes with it from pre-ordering at EB games too. XD I've got the collector's edition of Injustice this same day too, so yeah... a pretty penny will be spent.

Anywho... Any of the Shin Megami Tensei games are great; The Persona series being one of my favorite RPG series of all time. They are dark with some comedy mixed in... And weird, be prepared to be weirded out =P

Are there any games from the Shin Megami or Persona you recommend and are available for the PS3 on PSN or something or the 3DS?

As far as recommendations go, Persona 3 FES is in the PS2 classics section of PSN; it's my favorite in the Persona series. You can also get the first 2 now for PsP (also on PSN as psp digital Downloads). As for on the 3DS, you can get Devil Summoner 1 & 2 (only played the first one and it's pretty good)

Ok, sweet.  I'll eventually check those out and thanks for the recommendations.

I'm always wary about SMT titles outside of the Persona namesake. Persona has knocked it out of the park but that one SMT on DS that was basically a dungeon crawler lost me pretty quickly. That said, I got Overclocked for 3DS, but haven't had time to play it. I'm kind of on the fence about this one.

As for recommendations, LordX hit the best of the series. If possible, get Persona 4; not sure if it's available on PSN but it was remade for Vita. It's got all the charm of 3 with a different story and improved battle system.

I wish the Persona games would be re-released with upgraded visuals & 3d for 3ds, as I've never played any of them, and that would make them a MUST buy for me. I hope there's a demo for this game.

I am a long time fan of Atlus and the Shin megami games as a whole (Started on Persona 2.5 on the ps1 and have played every localized game since including the MMO) Great company and I will defineitly give this one a try. Can't say I'm not pulling my hair out waiting for Persona 5 to come out tho.

Heh at this rate P5 might be a next gen title! lol probably not seeing as even Persona 3 came out on the ps2 even though we already had the ps3.

btw the Persona 4 Golden version on the Vita is Awesome! By far my favorite iteration of the entire series, so if your sitting on the fence just go ahead and get it!

My vita atm is basically my designated "Pocket Persona Machine"

I'm Making A Game

Actually that's been the plan for a while now I just failed to mention it here before. I did type up a development document, track down freeware programs to make it and finished the concept art work. Then I spent the last four months doing nothing. I recently came to the conclusion that my idea, while interesting, was waaaay too ambitious a project for me to undertake right now. I hope to revisit the idea sometime in the future but for now it's very much in storage.

So why bring this…
