Since the beginning, EpicBattleAxe.com has been dedicated to inciting opinion and debate in our community. We love hearing from you all. Its why we started reading Member Battle Cries on EBC and eventually expanded to include a host of feedback from across the EpicBattleAxe online community.
Today, however, we’re giving YOU the spotlight and launching a new feature podcast dedicated entirely to your comments from around the webs. We asked you to Cry Havoc and Let Your Voice Be Heard and you did, with a vengeance. We’ve felt a little cheated each week forcing ourselves to pick a single comment from the various EBA outlets of discussion. Now we don’t have to. Each week, we’ll be picking several of our favorite comments from the Member Battle Cry topics, the EBA channel on GameTrailers, The EpicBattleAxe Forums, our Facebook fan page, and Twitter to share with all the Axeheads!
So, welcome to the show devoted to your comments, your discourse, and your voice.
Welcome to Force Feedback!

Thanks for skipping the Strums.
Love the the new format, keep it up.
Wow thats fast man… Didnt expected it
Awe SOMéeee (ya know like es capeéééé Finding Nemo
)
nice show
though im kind of used to video casts more than audio only
but that wasnt the problem with this show
NICE ive always wanted my own SHOW. Nice job fellas
Great stuff. I can only name one problem with the whole podcast: two times the EBA on one day is a little more awesome than I can handle. I know you can’t have too much of a good thing, but you can have too much clustered together. But hey, next week I should just wait a day or so before listening. Problem solved
But hey, splitting the feedback away from the main section is good, and might be an incentive to a couple of the GT-followers to actually check out the site itself.
And getting the EBA forums a little more attention is definitely a great improvent.
Keep slicin’
Nice I got my own show!!!
Tony, platypus has 3 syllables lol.
Great addition to the site guys! Keep it up!
Awesome, love the new spin, keep up the rockin’ work guys!
Hmm, shooting people with your mind might get tiresome as you’ll shoot quite irradically from time to time, but reloading or any type of hotkey for games or otherwise is already possible for the decent price of 300 dollars.
Check out The emotiv EPOC at http://www.emotiv.com/apps/epoc/299/
im gonna buy it in a month and implement it to MW2, just remember to remove the porn site macro before your girlfriend visits. Dont want her to read your mind
Might this be the future of gaming and interactivity? Hope so, sure beats the shit out of the kinnect.
Great show guys, everytime a new segment comes out I put you guys on in the background and play MW2, almost cant play without anymore.
Cry havoc dudes and keep up the cheap puns Daniel:)
First, I want to thank you for cutting viewer feedback from the main show and giving it some space of it’s own. I love that you guys care enough to respond to noteworthy comments but it seemed to have snowballed recently to the point that it threatened to bury the rest of the show.
On the topic of Cole’s re-redesign: While I appreciate that Sucker Punch values their audience’s opinions (or the internet bandwagon’s anyway) I’m also disappointed in them for buckling so quickly, rather than exerting some creative authority.
inFamous was a great game but Cole’s original design was not so great. As a game with a morality system it initially seems appropriate to have a rather generic character for players to project their own sensibilities onto. However, Cole has a backstory and his appearance and demeanor in the first game seem to be completely at odds with it. Cole was a bike messenger; not a soldier, not a tournament fight, not anything that would suggest he should be so haggard and gruff. His athleticism is implied through his interest in parkour but that, along with his profession, would seem to indicate that he is relatively young and has ample free time. Now, I suppose a leather jumpsuit might be appropriate attire for a bike messenger but, generally speaking, a young person living in an urban area is much more likely to resemble the “new” Cole than the original. Of course, many people complained that the design too closely resembled Nathan Drake but I’d prefer that to a design that resembles characters from hundreds of other mediocre and easily forgotten games.
I’ll play the game either way but I was genuinely excited by the new design and do feel less hyped for the game as a whole. I appreciate it when the character I’m controlling in a game feels fully realized and not like they’re just a cursor to guide an adolescent power-trip fantasy.
Outstanding new show! I’m definitely glad to see that there is no censoring in this one! Nice call. Only thing I would have changed is had you guys mention some of the user comments in those EBA forum threads you had mentioned. It’s cool to get your ideas on the topic, but I think you should drop some more feedback from the other cats who were adding to the discussion online as well.
Ha.. Or I guess I could just go read the muthafuckin thread too..
hi … im big fan of EBC …liked this new feature 2 ..wish it was a video podcast …anyway i liked the interview wit jim …could u guys do 1 wit ben yahtzee… P.S keed the puns coming DK …
Speaking of Timed Exclusives and PSN Plus…
I was planning on downloading the Mafia 2 demo. I’m not a Gold Member on Xbox live, so I can’t download it until it becomes available for Silver Members aswell.
PSN Plus just did the same fucking thing, I don’t have PSN Plus… and all of a sudden I find out that I have to wait one extra day before I can download the fucking demo.
Now… before PSN Plus there wasn’t any trouble like that. You could download the demo when it was released. So how the HELL does this not “change the current PSN model” which I heard over and over again that they wouldn’t. Granted.. it was Sony that said it so I guess they lied to us.
Okay, it’s only one day so it isn’t really such a big deal… But I am planning on get it on PS3, so I want to test it out there. I pre-ordered Mafia II in January 2009… So I’ve been waiting quite a while. I did on the other hand download the demo on Steam and tried it out on PC.
Valve <3
I really like that the feedback section is getting a place of it’s own so more of the community’s voices will be heard.
On the topic about Cole’s re-designed re-design: I really hope that Sucker Punch will re-think (pun intended) their decision about taking Cole’s old design back. Even if many people didn’t like the new Cole (probably because he looked like a complete different person) he was still in need to get a re-design so that he would seem new and fresh. Personally i think that they should keep the bald space marine look and just dress him up in some new clothes and maybe give him some tats.
Loved the show, it was so informative; I think it was a good idea to take out the feedback section, although I am going to miss Daniel saying “SWEET ASS GOG ACTION” every week, but as long as he keeps up with the ridiculous puns and back and forths with Brent Adams, I’ll be satisfied. Hahahahaha!!! But yeah, these exclusive things are starting to piss me off! Like, I mean, I finally have a PS3 and Xbox 360 so at least I can finally play Uncharted and the PS3 exclusives as well as the Xbox exclusives. But now, even games that are for both platforms are getting extra content for a specific console which sucks. And by the way, my favorite part of playing video games is how you can control someone and how you have a limited amount of control on what goes on. Plus, you can do things that you couldn’t do in real life like blow up 10 cop cars and to escape and get off scot free, all that you have to do is drive out of a specific area! Hahaha! I like when they aim towards different audiences too; like, for a hardcore gamer, they’ll play on the hardest difficulty and for a casual gamer, they can play on an easier difficulty and for a gamer who just wants to have fun, they can use cheats. I mean, sure its cheating which is unfair, but sometimes, it can provide funny results like seeing someone fly halfway across the city from a punch to the face! Hahahahaha!!!
I realise you guys want to focus more on member feedback (i look forward to the section) but maybe you could tape it later and tack it on to the main show, so people just download one file?
Also maybe up the audio quality to 96kbps?
Just a suggestion, since you have Epic Battle Axe, Epic Battle Cry, what about calling the force feedback
Epic Battle Field (since you’re fielding questions)
or better yet
Epic Battle Lines (since people write into you!)
anyway, love the show and your love for the Axeheads,
Jay
Hear Ye,Hear ye!!.. i just found that out myself (mafia II Demo first on PSplus custemers) and youre absolutely right about Sony said that nothing was gonna change for the non PSplus custemers..
When i found out about Mafia was going up only for PSplus on 10/08-2010 i was like “WTF?? are they serious??” there is a reason i loved Sony, one of em was because i felt like they where nothing like Microf*ck´s and did´nt charge you for online play and demo dload´s.looks like this is gonna change, and im so pissed off atm i feel like go and do a Happy Gilmore on the Sony head chair man and say… “the price is wrong b*tch” and now i thinking.. what´s next??
It really feels like Sony is being like little greedy 5 year old kids, that arent satisfied with their piece of cake, and instead they are trying to lure you in,so they can shove their plus offer down your throat,in order for them to get the hole cake.fuck you Sony, you should be ashamed of your self.but it is not only Sony we have to look at here, because im pretty sure Sony would´nt be able to do this without the consent from the creators of Mafia II,so they are just as rotten as Sony is.
What about people from europe?
I personally live in the netherlands but we don’t got gamestop, we don’t got the big hype of gaming comparing to america, so where missing all the big deals ect.
I really don’t like those timed DLC but still, give the people in europe the opportunity.
I’m loving the new format for this! It’s like a revamped EBC On Tap!
I don’t have anything interesting to say in this post.
My message gets to kick off this new segment? Awesome. I know it’s totally random but I’m honored regardless.
Awesome, love it, more epicness for us users
Any plans on putting this on iTunes? I am a commuter and love to listen to your guys discussions to past the time, its a life saver!
@ZenoX
Stop Bitching nut fucker, It’s only one day.
On topic: Am I the only one who Resistance fall of man and warhawk are criminally underrated?
P.S
Shattered dimension looks abysmal
Very cool. Never thought fans would get their own podcast/ show
.
Freaking love it…
How about Guild Wars 2, do you axe lords and axe heads think It may revolutionize parts of what mmo’s are today.?
The way I see Playstation Plus:
A chance to try full games I wouldn’t normally consider getting otherwise as I normally don’t like the genre, it was poorly marketed, it snuck in under my radar, or I heard bad things about it. For the price of one game, I get to expand my horizons. That’s good for both me and Sony. I get to play more games, Sony possibly gets money out of me if I really like something and pay to buy stuff like it.
I think the main issue is that people are taking Playstation Plus at face value and subtracting the value they’re seeing right now. That will never engender a buying attitude, since no one week is going to give you enough value for your money unless they go crazy with the demos and beta opportunities. A better way, since it is a bi-weekly updated service, would be to have $17.99 and $50 bucks be a goal and add the value you are seeing as it comes out.
Since everyone values things differently, you might not see your money’s worth during that period. Then you don’t have to get it.
I’m a first adopter. I’ve been burned in the past. So far I’m not getting much regret out of Playstation Plus. Hell, it got me to try a freaking racing game and some kind of puzzle game. I enjoyed both, and I certainly wasn’t expecting that. I’m even playing the Minis, and I’m being pleasantly surprised.
I know people will be like “Play the demos instead, save your money”. I’ve been burned by demos a lot, so I don’t give them any positive weight in my buying decisions. Only negative.
Awesome show guys… AGAIN!
Keep up the good work, power to the people!
Also 128Kbps quality would be nice.
Great idea, loved it!
Axeheads unite for more Mayhem! This is another great way to escape the drudgeries of responsibilities and to hear more fellow axehead’s opinions on the tru things that matter to us all….gaming. Keep carving a path for carnage and may the gaming gods keep speaking thru you to us all!
Woah. I like this a lot.
I was wondering what you guys thought about the subscription models in online games that seem to be around the corner in relation to Xbox Live. Wouldn’t you agree that it’s a bit much to ask someone to pay for the internet, then Live, then to play a certain game online aswell?
Personally i wouldn’t have a problem with paying for online gaming as long as the prices we’re reasonable (so that’s Microsoft out the window then) but you have to make it worth the money, no more fucking players hosting and saying fuck you to anyone asking for dedicated servers, but would i pay for them on top of paying for Live as well?
Hell-fucking-no
Is there any way to get Force Feedback as a podcast via iTunes?
Hey all. Regarding getting to the show via iTunes: you can do that now if you subscribe to the EpicBattleCry Audio Podcast channel. That gets updated with all our audio casts (EBC, On Tap, Under the Axe) including Force Feedback.
We’re looking into the possibility of having separate channels for each show but it will take some restructuring on the EBA.com back end. We’ll keep you updated on that front.
Awesome feedback.
thanks brent!
35 fuckin minutes!? wow
Just wanted to let you know that Force Feedback 001 keeps crashing the iPod app on my iPhone 3G. When I delete it everything goes back to normal. The regular EBC Skirmish podcast doesn’t seem to be a problem. Just wanted to give you a heads up, anyone else having this problem?
Awesome segment. I was worried that the feedback session of ebc was going to be longer than the show itself. great job!
Hi guys, just wanted to let you know that Force Feedback 001 and 002 crash my ipod. When I delete them from iTunes, all is well, even with the EBC podcast. This only happens when I sync the Force Feedback podcast.
I realize that I am posting this month after this went up, but I really dont think PSN Plus is going to be a rip off for me personaly. See, I dont game online. like ever. I rarely do it, so IMO XBOX Live might be a rip off to me, but the thing is I feel like I HAVE to have Live otherwise my 360 will seem like its incomplete. thats how intertwined the service is to the console, and MS is gonna lock me out of stuff if I dont have Live. PSN Plus, however, is something that people can really take as a optional kinda thing. See, SONY isnt (or hasnt yet) locked free users out of really anything. Netflicks app is free and so is online play. However, since I dont need Plus for online play, I feel like im getting more value out of it, because really the only thing making live alot better then PSN is the Online. But since I dont use that, I could give a rats ass. With Plus, I am getting the option to try and play PSN games I havent downloaded yet (I only have about 3 bought PSN games on my console, so pretty much anything they are going to give me will be new to me) plus whatever else SONY gives me. thats why I bought the service. Now I have 15 months to get my 50 bucks back, and theres a good chance I will. Plus, I was gonna resubscribe to Qore anyway, and this gives it to me in the service, so that knocks half the price out there. (a year of Qore is 24.99.) So thats why I dont think its going to be a rip off for someone like me.
