Hey all,
So the new forums are starting to take shape. This is very much a beta trial. Everything is up for grabs right now. To start with, we're using the latest version of Simple Press. Its got the best out-of-the-box ratio of features to flexibility.
The look of the forums WILL change in their final form. The goal right now is to evaluate the function and figure out the feature set.
If you've got feedback, questions, or suggestions, this is the place for it. Let me know what you think and I'll try to respond as quickly as I can.

Any chance we can get a "music,movie" or just plain "other media" section to the forums?
While I know its mainly a gaming site, nothing beats finding a new band,series or movie out there that tickles ur interest.
And having a community like this one Im sure there are a ton of guys out there that could come up with some awesome "under the radar" suggestions to ppl who might be searching for something new thats not the plain crap you get served in the mainstream sites and tv channels on a regular basis

Hi Brent, the forum feels really strange. The Navigation is…odd. I hope that will change and look like normal forums. Otherwise thanks for the effort.

Not exactly a question about the forum itself, but I would much appreciate it if there would be a button/label/link whatever on the main site to get to the forum. I know it's in its beta phase and all, but it's really a hassle right now to look up the post and find the forum link.
And I don't want to be a pain in the neck, I know EBA is not in it's final state yet, but a menu system to find stuff like Force Feedback episodes easier would be great too (I thought about a pop up list when you move the cursor above "Podcasts" and it'd list EBA/FF/TAF). But that's just a suggestion. Thank you.

@Scralotos – In time we will add more discussion-focused forums (both for games and off-topic stuff like movies & music), but for the moment, we're going to stay oriented on the forums to facilitate online gaming. Once we've had some time to evaluate this forum package and implement any changes we want, then it'll start to grow into more traditional forums.
@Fabian Winkler – I hear you and as I said in my original post the look WILL change, this is a default theme and I've experimented with creating a custom theme that will feature better navigation and look nicer (and more EBA-like) but that takes time. So, again, we want to see how well the forums work before we invest a huge amount of time to create a nice theme. When (and if) we're convinced this is the forum package for us, then we'll start on a much-needed facelift.
@Soul Nibbler – Duly noted and I'll definitely add Force Feedback to the main nav along with a link here.

yeah, kinda thought you would given time and experience with the system ;) seing as its beta i kinda should have guessed why it wasnt there, sry for nagging man :P

hi, i can't see the two replies i posted today in the eba podcast topic, which i started yesterday. i can see one reply from sundancer. although if i mouse over the last post icon, it does popup the text from one of my new posts. so i assume that's a bug it doesn't then show up in the actual topic. i'm running ie8 on win xp pro. yes i know ie is not popular but this is a work computer.

I've been wondering when a couple of new boards will be added. I and some other Axeheads already made some suggestions in the 'Game Requests' board. I'd at least be pleased to see a general gaming board or something. I have allot of things to talk about but it doesn't entail Star Wars nor Battlefield and it's not online gaming related so I've really no place to start discussion.
I hope you have time soon to create some new boards. Thanks in advance anyway my man. I'm looking forward to awesome discussions with the Axeheads.

I still have a few more features to implement before we'll officially be open for business. But once these last few things are in place, we'll begin expanding the forums. I'll be working on things this week, so stay tuned; it shouldn't be long now.
