Last night, me, Brent, nGage and Proonik played Black Talon, and we were discussing what the best approach would be, so we can all level up a bit together. We were thinking about an idea of going alternate days on Republic and Sith Empire side. So Monday Sith, Tuesday Republic, Wednesday Sith, Thursday Republic, etc. etc.
However, these are not the locked days. I at least would like to throw it out there who would be interested in this and on what days what side? Or for that matter any other idea's to keep both sides in an equal level and play with the most of us at the same time
Of course, you are NOT obliged to play the side on the day that the majority wants to play. We are after all a freedom of choice based guild ;)

OfflineI think this would be a great idea, I'm getting close to the point where I can put more time towards my EBA characters and I've been trying to figure out which one to focus on while also wanting to play with y'all.
My suggestion is that we divide days between even and odd. I think that would be easier to keep track of especially if you have to step away from the game for a bit. Maybe play the Republic on even days and the Empire on odd days? This would give a little bit more playtime in favor of whichever is the odd day faction, but it wouldn't be too bad.
I'm with Tannermh on the odd/even day approach. I believe I even mentioned that yesterday. Regardless, I'm fine with any form of schedule. It just be nice to get a greater number of players on at the same days, without obviously forcing people that wanna focus on a single class.

OfflineHmm, Tim makes a good point about having longer play periods for both sides. Might be easier to accomplish things together if we spend more time on one side before switching to the other. What if we switched weekly to accommodate as many people's schedules as possible and use Mondays as the switch over day?

I really like this idea but i can see how it might be a problem for anyone who doesn't have a character on both sides. Going an entire week with out the majority of the guild could get pretty boring and no one should feel pressured to make a new character just to keep in touch with fellow axe heads. I think the 3 day rule proposed by Tim is a good compromise.
I agree with previous posters that the Rule of Three seems like the best option put forward so far. As a case-in-point, I started leveling my bounty hunter on drumond kass Sunday and its going to be tomorrow before I can finish everything there. I can say with certainty that I would've found it annoying to flip back to my Jedi yesterday when I really wanted to finish what I'd started on the Imp side.
One idea I'd like to throw into the pot (since we're going to have an extra day) is having one free day each week. On the free day, people can play what they like, switch back and forth, take a break entirely, etc. The idea is we'll have a loose guild structure six days out of the week and one day for everyone to do their own thing.
As far as what day this would be on, I'm thinking either Sunday or Odinsday. Either we end the week with it or put it between the three-day blocks. If we set it on Wed, that would let us set up the blocks so each faction gets one weekend day and two weekdays. So for example:
- Sun-Tues – Empire
- Wed – Free
- Thors-Sat – Republic
The advantage of Sunday is that most people have the day off and it would allow for more flexibility for more people than a weekday.
Anyway, that's my two cents, I think we should try and settle this by the weekend and start rolling 3's next week.
Good two cents, that sound more like a penny ;) But onwards. If we start, we shall have to start coming Sunday to keep it in synch. Also, but that is a bit future talk, what will we do when we reach end-game? Because I know that doing Operations (raids) will take a lot longer then just one night, or for that matter, three. I know, it is not yet there, but should be taken into account.
