Zipper Interactive, developers of the upcoming PS3 exclusive MAG, have just released a new developer diary video via the PlayStation Blog. The vid gives us a glimpse of the various PMC factions that will be available to choose from in the game.

Three PMC factions have been announced: Valor, Raven, and S.V.E.R…With Valor being your “average, traditional military style” faction, Raven as your “tactical, high polished technical style” faction and S.V.E.R being the more “edgy, aggressive, in your face style” faction.

Each faction is promising to have different looks and equipment to differentiate themselves from one another. Even the home turfs for the factions will have different looks and feels that resemble each faction. For example, the S.V.E.R. environments are a little more rustic and gritty…in part to resemble the factions look and also to play up the story that S.V.E.R. who really don’t have as much money as the other two factions. So, they choose to hang out in a more “tattooed, almost gang like” setting. Kind of like us here at the ‘Axe. Compare that to Raven, who will have a more clean, polished, technological setting…Kinda like our friends over at Joystiq…Who, coincidentally, we plan on PWNING when the game comes out.

Anyway, the game seems to be looking better and better as details emerge and the project nears completion. We’re hoping to see even more awesomness on this new online shooter in the coming months.
