PRESS RELEASE
Today MTV Networks, a division of Viacom, announced a broad-ranging, first-of-its-kind programming partnership with Microsoft for the 2010 Electronic Entertainment Expo, the video game industry’s leading trade show. For the first time, only MTV Networks will take viewers inside the spectacular world premiere of controller-free games and entertainment with “Project Natal” for Xbox 360 Experience, a spectacular live performance imagined by Cirque du Soleil, and live to the Xbox 360 Media Briefing for game announcements, world premieres and breaking news on the future of the Xbox 360 platform.
“We look forward to making entertainment history again at E3 2010, and can’t think of a better partner than MTV Networks to exclusively share our news, experiences and Cirque du Soleil’s amazing creativity with an entirely new audience,” said Don Mattrick, Senior Vice President, Interactive Entertainment Business, Entertainment and Devices Division, Microsoft.
“Project Natal is one of the most exciting new product launches of the year, and MTV Networks is the perfect partner to bring this one-of-a-kind event from Xbox and Cirque du Soleil to its viewers and passionate gamers and all across the country,” said Rich Eigendorff, Chief Operating Officer, MTV Networks.
Heralded by TIME Magazine as one of the top inventions of 2009, “Project Natal” for Xbox 360 is set to forever change the way we interact with entertainment. In the WORLD PREMIERE EXPERIENCE, the creative visionaries at Cirque du Soleil created a stunning production that brings the idea of controller-free gaming and entertainment to life. Witness an original and exclusively created, consumer spectacle that pushes the boundaries of live entertainment with cutting-edge technology, pulsating music, amazing puppetry, futuristic video projection, and unbelievable physical dexterity. So, there ya go…Now, anyone wanna place a bet on what the “surprise new game announcements” will be???

I dont like that MTV is partnering with Microsoft for this.
Many people are saying gametrailers likes xbox more than ps3, after this, what should they think?
I lost my faith in gametrailers as a neutral gaming website.
Btw, this sentence made me lol: plus exclusive world premiere demos of upcoming Xbox 360 exclusive games including HALO: REACH, GEARS OF WAR 3, and FABLE III.
No offence, but i would erase the word including
Huh! well I am not a fan at all of the brain dead MTV but i suppose they have a decent sized lump of cash in their pocket for it so that’s always good! Also really don’t know how I feel about Circ.. :\.. kind of odd and if it’s traditional Circ then.. I look forward to the awkward faces on the audience & the most likely bad reactions afterwords. Who knows though with this probably being one of the Biggest E3′s in recent times I can’t even imagine what it will be like. I also can’t wait for a damn price on that Natal & lets hope it is not too expensive! If it is.. i’ll definitely wait a while before buying it because as of right now I am not too impressed with its gimmicky fuctions. Lets hope this e3 changes our opinion about it & realizes that if they don’t come up with some serious fuctions for this thing the 360′s main audience which is somewhat more on the hardcore gamer side will not be picking this up. Fable 3! is also coming to the party ahah we will have to wait & see what lies peter is cookin up this year lmao.. regarding that.. I wonder if Peter has realized that gamers just think his interviews are full of Sh*t and changes what he’s doing. Wish I could attend this awesome event but sadly I’ll be stuck either watching it on Spike or on GT.com XD oh well at least I will be able to cut through the garbage & get to the good parts!
CANT WAIT for probably one of the biggest E3′s ever!
I don’t understand why people don’t get this one thing: Money is everything… And gametrailers just makes more money (even if Microsoft didn’t payed them) by broadcasting this things… it’s simply business… I am sure they would have done the same thing for sony or nintendo…
And i think this shows that you don’t really like microsoft and you don’t think they can surprise
The article said they will release demons for exclusives such as those 3 games. I highly doubt there will be other xbox exclusive game demos at e3 except those 3.
I know they can suprise, i was talking only about the demos…
This certainly isn’t doing GT any favors in their battle against accusations of Microsoft dickriding.
howdy kids! it’s me, the guy who’s about to tell you something he thought every one already knew . . . here it is . . . GT (GameTrailers) is owned by SpikeTV/MTV, which is owned by Viacom, which is owned by Microsoft.
These facts are true, I have done the research and I would encourage you all to do the same. Please don’t be surprised as this isn’t really news.
Although I agree with your point here, you’re a little misleading.
In fact, Microsoft does not own Viacom, but rather has an Advertising partnership with them
(http://advertising.microsoft.com/news-events/microsoft-viacom-ad-partnership)
Nonetheless, it is a valid point.
I can’t believe ppl are actually surprised by this, especially with the before mentioned partnership of MS and Viacom/MTV/SpikeTV. I always knew this was coming. I was wondering where you guys at EBA will be sitting in E3, whose corner will you be sitting in hopefully you will be in the corner of us gamers, this is just one more reason for me not to go to GT any more than I do. I mean you guys don’t have to use the gimmicks that GT uses to get ppl to post here, you have the best podcast I have ever watched compared especially compared to IW.
