Forget Roger Rabbit, back off Beatles, take a seat Titanic…you all have been PWND! That’s right, There’s a heaping helping of congratulatory cake over at Infinity Ward and Activision this morning and the blood-colored icing reads “Congrats on the Biggest Launch in Entertainment History”. While the numbers are fluctuating slightly, it appears that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has SOLD (as opposed to just SHIPPED) approximately 4.7 million copies of the controversial airport carnage simulator across the 360, PS3, and PC within the first 24 hours of availability throughout North America and the United Kingdom alone. Like math? Well, so does Activision, and at the risk of breaking Bobby Kotick’s personal calculator, the publisher determined that the number of game sales translates to about $310 million bones.
Dude….That’s a lotta coin for one 24-hour period and we can only imagine how much the game will accumulate in sales once it is released everywhere and has a few months in the holiday spotlight. I’m calling yet another sequel right now! Oh wait…

And you know they won’t ever drop the price just like CoD4
wasn’t the previous record owwned by GTA 4, and Halo 3 before that?
I would like to say that this game is awesome. And it delivers in everything, from spec ops to online.
My battle cry of this week goes to the developers escpecially infinity ward and naughty dog for delivering. Im not saying that others developers dont deliver, but that it’s hard for them to bring something awesome to the audience.
Publishers and developers set their own bar. And what they could accomplish. Modern Warfare just set a bar. And infinity ward set it for them self. I wonder what they going to bring on the next game, or what other developer is going to bring in the game they doing, many dont and many do.
My battle cry goes to all the hard work this developers and publishers do to get a game out their.
This game is really awesome but a game is never perfect but I hope modern warfare 2 is going to be even bigger.
