Keep this one firmly in the “rumor mill” section of your file cabinet for now, but Joystiq is reporting that BioWare will release a new retail expansion for it’s latest RPG Dragon Age: Origins over in Europe come March 2010. This coming via Eurogamer.cz who states that the expansion, titled Dragon Age: Awakening, will feature a new player character (complete with new origin story) and offer 15 or so hours of gameplay in a storyline that takes place after the events of the original game.
We’ll find out soon enough if this is legit and of course, when we do, you’ll be Awakened with the details.

HA! The EBA voice steers the industry once again. Awesome news, I commented about the last announcement of DLC with fears that they might just release short DLC’s monthly and forgo on the good old expansion packs. I really hope this rumor proves to be true because the game is too awesome to have those short short stories to sustain it for the next 3 years before the next game is release (hint hint @ Bioware).
“BioWare will release a new retail expansion for _it’s_ latest RPG”?
What? No.
It’s spelled _its_ (no apostrophe) if you mean for it to be possessive.
I’d love another awakening of DA:O on my PC. Ugh.
