Hot on the heels of the stellar God of War 3, Kratos will soon be back in action on via the all-new adventure God of War: Ghost of Sparta which Sony today announced for the PSP. The game, which is slated for release “later this year”, is being developed by Ready At Dawn Studios and according to the announcement post on the PlayStation Blog the game will “push the limits of what PSP can do with state-of-the-art visual technologies, higher resolution environments, and greater depths of scale.” Nice! Also, the post went on to say that the game will provide over 25% more gameplay than the prior PSP GOW entry (Chains of Olympus), an improved weapon system, and new magical powers as well.
Obviously, there’s a ton to look forward to and while we expect to learn much more about GOW: Ghost of Sparta, it looks like we’ll only have these beautiful announcement screenshots to keep us busy until E3.
