Something tells us here at the ‘Axe that quite a few of you are rather interested in the revitalization of Ubisoft’s Splinter Cell franchise with the release of Splinter Cell: Conviction this November. Probably just a hunch, but we imagine those people would wanna check out the newly released vid doc that explores the devs attempt to redefine the franchise….a franchise indeed in need of redefining. Well, fortunately, you can check out said video after the jump and fall in love, yet again, with Splinter Cell.

Does anybody else miss the days of lan parties, where you would set up a couple of xbox’s or whatever and would have 4 people to a box, and all playing through systems and not live?
I have grown up to see this feature totally left behind, and it bothers me to see now the only way to play other people is to play online. Especially now in this day and age, people can’t afford to buy a system or can’t afford to play online.
And I do understand that it takes the dev’s a little more time and effort to make these available. But since they are making if for online, why can’t they just set it up for offline multi play? gargantuanofgriefQuote
Ok although the game is looking like sweet action, I think saying the previous games “defined action stealth” is a bit lofty. Anyway once again I worry at the length of gameplay you will get out of this, especially as they are trying to add that hollywood style presentation to the game.
@Gargantuan
Do you not have the system link option for the games you play on 360? Supermans DoctorQuote
Psyched, I hope they have a dynamic choice driven story like in double agent, really enjoyed that game. DrunkenPistoleroQuote
