With Zune HD video coming to the Xbox 360 it was inevitable that the wireless capabilities of the Xbox 360 would need a serious kick in the pants.  Microsoft is apparently aware of this, which is why it has developed a new wireless adapter for the Xbox 360.

The new adapter will support 802.11n wifi instead of 802.11b/g, thus making the new adapter twice as fast as its predecessor.  This will allow the 360 to stream those upcoming HD videos with ease as well as a better online gaming experience as long as you have an 802.11n network set up at home.

Want to know the price?  Of course you do!  Well Product Reviews Net has confirmed that this new adapter will inherit the current price of the original adapter of $100.  The original adapter, of course, will drop in price when the new one gets released.

Think you can use Zune HD video with your old adapter and by pass this expense?  Think again as the new HD video stream will require an 802.11n network.  So yes, viewing Zune HD videos will basically cost you $100 if you don’t have a long enough Ethernet cable to use…
