Xbox 360 and PS3 owners undecided about whether or not to pick up EA’s latest entry in the storied Need for Speed franchise might be happy to learn that the console demo of the highly rated Need for Speed SHIFT will be available for download on October 1 on both PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE. The PC version of the demo is available now right here. The demo offers up the chance to jump into the cockpit of the BMW M3 (E46), 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10, 2006 Lotus Elise 111R, 2008 Nissan GT-R, and 2006 Pagani Zonda F (unlockable). It’s free, of course, so give er’ a whirl if you wanna when the demo releases this Thursday.
