Though it was once slated to hit streets this spring, Brink has, once more, been delayed. Word has come down from Bethesda that Brink will now be released sometime in 2011. No further details as of yet, but it sounds like the title may be on the…wait for it…brink of losing momentum. As always, you’ll know more, when we know more. Does this sour your expectations for Brink or is it still firmly on your radar?
Prematurely announced releases issue aside, I’m actually glad for this. I have more than enough games to fill up my plate this year, so the longer new games get pushed off, the better for me.
I’m Torn on this.
On one hand, why blow your wad and announce sumthin knowing it’s more than likely not gonna make it’s due date.
On the other hand, I’m a broke college student and I do need to cop some older titles (Bayonetta, Infamous, Arkham Asylum) before more come out and I’m swamped again.
Oh thank god. Im so pumped for this game that it doesnt matter if it comes this year or early next year. Infact I’m with beema, it means i have a little breathing space better Halo: Reach and Brink.
I’m fine with it coming out next year. To be honest, this year’s already been filled with so many great titles I want to play that by the time I’m done with them Brink won’t be too long of a wait. More over, the end of this year is already filled with plenty of other FPS titles (Reach, Medal of Honor, BF: Vietnam, COD:BO) to wet my appetite, so it will make it a little easier to not have to choose between which I want to play first.
Hmmm, Brink has gotten itself quite some development time. And I have already seen some progress through all those little interviews/gameplay footage (the whole character loadout customization system got revamped after the last trailer which showed that system).
I’m still looking forward to this game. I hope it combines the best elements of Killzone 2, Mirror’s Edge and others.
Besides.. Fall 2010 and 2011 are already packed with some great, big budget, shooters. Sorta must buys for me.

Prediction: Ghost Recon:FS will be put on hold as well. Maybe
even a change in the creative director chair. But hey its not like I can see the future right

Yup, I was super hyped for this game pre-E3, but the first thing I heard from the show was that it was once again delayed. For almost a year. Again.
After I heard this I could care less about the game right now. I don’t watch any of the videos, they don’t release any new information about it, only rehashing stuff I already know. They completely killed it for me, not a good move I can assure you. After planning to buy this instead of Black Ops now I don’t know if I’ll ever buy BRINK because if CoD is good, then that’s what I’ll be playing for the next year or two. The fact that they gave absolutely no reason for the delay and just pretend like it wasn’t ever scheduled for an earlier release is beyond annoying.
They dropped the ball here in an epic fashion.
I agree it is the same for me and I think it is good that they delay it if they are not really ready for a release. Better safe than sorry. =)
Good it got delayed this game woulda got killed anyway if it came out this fall with all the other high profile already established shooters coming out
This game is firmly on my radar especially after seeing the E3 footage. Looks like it will be a thoroughly entertaining experience and that on all three consoles.
If it needs more tender loving care for it to be tweaked to perfection then I’m all for it.
Having said that, I hope we’re not talking about a ‘Rage’ type of wait. Though I still think that game will be a good game my excitement for it has been totally exhausted by the 3 year wait.
