Got to hand it to Valve, they know how to keep a promise. Just shortly after promising Left 4 Dead fans that they have not abandoned the current title for the upcoming sequel, Valve has announced a brand new campaign for the original Left 4 Dead.
Crash Course “bridges the gap” between the rooftops of No Mercy and the abandoned highway of Death Toll and includes “new locations, new dialogue from the original cast, and an explosive finale.” The campaign will of course have a co-op campaign, survival maps and a new “streamlined” Versus mode that will last about 30 minutes.
How much will all this cost? Absolutely nothing……if you’re playing on a PC anyway. If you want to enjoy this campaign on your 360 however, you are going to have to shell out 560 MP ($7). Life just isn’t fair is it? Unless of course you consider being a zombie instead…

Good stuff. Can’t wait for it. It will hopefully warm me up for L4D2
Life is unfair, Why did I have to trade this game for Chronicles of Riddick? Why???!!
Is the whole xbox live price due to M$ being douches then?
Hey when you consider that everyone else releases their DLC’s at 800MS points and only ever lowers that when it becomes a deal of the week, it’s hard to be mad with this.
I knew Valve weren’t trying to rip people off as well with the release of L4D2. It’s amazing how quickly people turn their backs on them when they have been among the most generous developers ever.
Seriously, why are we totally douches sometimes?
I know it’s only one new level, but hey it’s better than nothing and if it’s just like the others, it should be pretty sick.
I play L4D on the PC; I think it’s a great game. I would never buy something Valve made on anything but PC. Look at all the work they’re doing on TF2 for free.
I was just at IGN they made post about this called “When Did Left 4 Dead Get So Expensive?” Which just pissed me off. All the crap Xbox gamers pay for and don’t even say anything about. Why does Valve get so much hate from them.
Does Valve even handle the Xbox side of making it for the system?
I think not, i believe that microsoft forces developpers t charge money on xbox live content so they can get their fee on it. I am not sure though so don’t take my word for it.
I could totally believe Microsoft would do something like that, which makes it worse for the developer because as gamers we instantly think their just getting money grabbing.
Quite unfortunate, but unavoidable on the console I guess.
