I think it's very interesting seeing how the future of parenting will involve video games. My older brother became a father 2 years ago, and he has always been playing video games avidly. Playing video games - unlike our parents, he knows which video games his son should be playing, and video games like GTA: WHEN!
Many axeheads (and axelords) who are parents as well, have been exposed to video games. Not only will they be able to dictate acceptable titles, but they'll also be able to participate and in a way ..."bond" over this media. Playing games together or even just talking about them, is a great way to involve yourself in his/her life. It's something I can say I've missed growing up, but in the future video games and family hopefully won't be mutually exclusive.
