To be everything to all gamers is the holy grail of the industry. No one shall ever obtain such a title.
Borderlands 2 is my FPS of choice right now. Destiny has more of a WoW feel to it though. Which I find myself very intrigued by. I liked that every character could be proficient with all the weapons in BL2, but why not let the player choose which weapon they wanted to specialize in instead of assigning that to a fixed skill tree? That would be a welcomed tweak for me.
Can Destiny find a way to expand the tasks of skill trees beyond what Borderlands 2 provided us with? Does Destiny boil down to WoW meets Borderlands (sans the insane story/crazy humor)? It definitely sounds cool, and I'd like to test it out to see if they succeed in combining the different genres. The pull for me comes from my enjoyment I got out of Borderlands (and Fallout too). The game should be a solid benchmark for where the genre is headed if nothing else.
