Looking back at the last console generation and hearing what many people who have said positive thing about the PS4, it seems to me that the eventual success of a of any game format be it PC hand held or console  is one simple and subtle aspect: Whatever the device is suppose to do, does it work smoothly. The kinect 2 would be wildly anticipated if what it offered was not perceived as being buggy. I feel that consoles are in a spot where they are being faced with PC gaming that has become increasingly more user friendly and offering a more console like experience. The console market has been trying to prove their distinctiveness by offering experiences like motion controls and I believe that that is a miss direction. The PS4’s has been praised so far on it’s easy of use and enhanced performance and a lot of seemingly small improvements that come together to make a big difference in how people are using a console not a wild paradigm shift that I feel other console manufacturers are pushing and betting on.

Help... Where's my audio only link?!

I bought Persona 3 last week when I heard that Atlus was having a sale on their games on the PSN store. I've always had the desire to get to in to the franchise because I've heard nothing but amazing things about P4G on the Vita.

I ended up buying P3 for $4.99 and man, I'm nearly 30 hours in and it is a fantastic RPG. I am really digging the concept of Personas, combining Personas to make new and more powerful ones, the social link aspect to develop relationships with people and powering up your newly created Personas, the combat system, and the soundtrack is killer. If you have any interest in the series, I highly recommend jumping in and trying it out. I can't wait for Persona 5, Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth for the 3DS, and I pretty much need a Vita and P4G at this point.

I've always wondered why this site has two podcasts that are essentially the same thing. Also, how come Brent is on both, but Loren is only on one and DK and Tony are on the other?

Honored to get the member battlecry!

What I would like to know is: how well does the Xbox One work if you are not wanting it to control your living room space?

There are only two weekly podcasts on this site because the guys have refused repeated requests to do daily 15-hour Axe-tacular shows. Something about family, jobs, food, mental health....blah, blah, blah...

I don't always wonder, but when I do, it's about where the hell is the audio download link.

Gamer or QA tester? Early Access (long)

On the 16th of May 2007 the Halo 3 public Multiplayer Beta saw release for members of Microsoft's Xbox Live Subscription service. It contained 3 maps, a handful of game modes to play as well as a selection of the new weapons added in the sequel. Ostensibly the build was disseminated to test the matchmaking system, network loads and game balance but the use of an outdated iteration or 'Build', the heavy marketing and it's bundling with another…
