BATTLECRIES

Hi guys good show. I'm the first one to applaud any change that is consumer friendly, either because of the initiative of a company, low sales, because of user backlash or because of the competition. It's great. No matter if it's an 180, or whatever. Better to admit to the mistakes made and improve, than to be deaf and blind, holding to your guns just for the sake of "being right". But... when will Microsoft learn to shut the f**** up? Their big mouths is what puts them on the spot. Even now Microsoft Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer Yusuf Mehdi says that the XBox One is selling less than the PS4 because people enjoy the 360 more than the PS3. Really? Come on! Haven't you learned to just shut up? These policy changes look ridiculous just because they said they would not do it. The same thing with the first 180, they said it couldn't be done, and then they did it. Microsoft has a mouth too big to their own good. But hey, at least they are moving in the right direction.

Greeting Axelords!

FarCry 4? Might be interested, IF, IF they make an interesting main character. FarCry 3 was good, except for the main protagonist.. I disliked Brody SO much.. Why help this spoiled brat?! When I died I was like.. Good, he deserved it. The Arrow gameplay was REALLY fun, the actual gameplay was really fun actually. With all those interesting NPCs in this game they really made a huge mistake giving Brody no sense of personality.. Well proper growth, he just went from brat to mass murderer in 20 minutes.. Snipes with machine guns and wrestles Crocodiles.. REALLY?

I'm with DK on the Fable situation. I loved the first game.. Then after that things turned weird.. Who know? Still I have no Next-Gen console so if the new Fable won't come to the PC I guess I does not matter.

Division being delayed to 2015 is hardly news anymore.. Sure it is good to have it official. Looks like it could be an interesting MP hybrid title.

Child of light on handheld? Sure why not? It actually seems to be made for handhelds in the first place, gorgeous art and wonderful music in that game.

Halo eh? Decent shooter. Cool worlds and Master Chief is kinda badass. I'm more interested in how Cortana is gonna be like in this new one. Guardian needs to be a little more free, not too corridory if that makes sense.. sure there are open areas but. Also an intriguing story with some drama would be nice to keep one in the know of what you are fighting for.

Youtube buying Twitch? Hmm I wonder if it will be allowed? Monopoly is never a good thing, stagnation will ensue over time and overlord business models might occur. If they can keep things seperate and organized, I guess?

Night Trap.. That was a thing back in the day. To relive it now? Perhaps for those who remember it or for gaming history relevance.

Witcher 3 doing equal content for all platforms it releases on is smart. No fan wars or similar doodah nonsense. I did read that pre-order on GOG will give you extra digital stuff. I hope they are smart to only give us things like soundtracks in FLAC, digital map and cosmetic items, no gameplay changing items and things like that. CDPR really are consumer friendly and they would know things like gameplay altering content that is not distributed among all platforms will make things open for war.. CDPR.. Don't make a mistake now.. You have done so well in the gaming industry, we need you to be "pure". :)

That is it for me and Stay Frosty everyone!

Done Bear!

The Halo 5 announcement was about as exciting as getting told a cow produces milk. We all knew it was coming and that it was only a matter of time. The reveal trailer last year also didn't help much for hype. The expectation was created that it would be coming sooner rather than later only to be told it would be another year unless next years E3 announces a delay.

The sad thing is sony is also sitting in this boat where an Uncharted game has been announced and there is nothing to show for it. Don't hype us on something that does not exist yet.

With that said, spoiler alert: Cortana is the other spartan on the box art and we will have to wait and see who is the Last Guardian standing.

Surprise! Destiny WAS HALO 5 AAAAALL ALONG

You people hate too much. Halo is not in any way a bad game. As for if they could advance it, the only way i see is funtionality. Making some new fantabolous way of playing online or something of the sort, or God forbid some kind of smartglass/app combo.

I love Halo. Im hyped.

I forgot the name of it, but recently there was a shooter/MMO game that was tied to a TV show just like Tony was talking about. Anybody remember what it was called? I don't think it reviewed that well.

While I am sure 343 can revitalize the Halo franchise with something new and innovative, I just don't want to see yet another game in another... wait.  What am I talking about? Why not revolutionize the series with something familiar yet amazing. Look at Rocksteady and their handling of Batman, a property that had had countless shitty games made for it. If done well, it can satisfy die hard fans of the series and maybe even tickle the fancy of some newcomers. Sure, some brand spanking new IP would be great, but I think 343 proved themselves with Halo 4 and now will bring their AAA game to the table.

Disclaimer: I'm not a Halo fan.

Hi guys! Always a great surprise to be the member battlecry of the week. It's quite an honor actually!  Just some quick two bits, I loved Far Cry 3, never played Far Cry 2 although I own it and never tried Far Cry Blood Dragon, but I want to someday. Far Cry 4 seems too close. 3 was late 2012, Blood Dragon 2013, and now 4 in 2014. It's not been a single year without a Far Cry game. And this one really looks like Far Cry 3,5. The exotic location, the self appointed lunatic king... it really smells like a rehash of 3. I'm cautious about it... Now The Witcher 3... man... I'm so hyped! And I've never played a Witcher game before, but I'm really pumped! This may be the game that makes me go and buy a PS4. I've just finished Dark Souls 2, I'm catching up on some old RPG games (now playing Dragon Age: Origins) and The Witcher 3 seems to be the one that is going to blow my mind. And CD Projeckt Red are so game and gamer focused, I really respect them...

As for Halo5... meh...

I've played all three main Far Cry games along with Blood Dragon and Blood Dragon was probably the most enjoyable. Both 2 and 3 went downhill towards the end. The original was frustratingly difficult even on the easiest setting but I got through it. I don't know what it is about the games but they have all provoked a mixture of enjoyment and rage from me.

I don't really care one way or another about the sequel but I'm not surprised given how well 3 sold. I too would like to see more Blood Dragon.

As someone who thought the 360 was the best console last generation, I'm in an interesting place. I've never thought too much of the Halo series and I should since I loved the 360. The announcement isn't surprising at all and certainly not a system seller for me. Sunset Overdrive on the other hand...

Still I won't be getting either the PS4 or Xbone unless it is for free. Not for a few years at least. I'd still prefer to buy a new video card or another Sega Saturn.

Maybe a Sega Saturn first.

NBA2K15 Review

The NBA2K series has been one of the most dominant franchises in gaming. While some sports franchises rely on exclusivity deals to corner the market, NBA2K was able to do it the old fashioned way: make a far superior product to your competitor, and force them to close shop. This dominance allowed NBA2K to end the last console generation as the unchallenged king of basketball video games. 2K began the new console generation with another solid entry in the series. While NBA2K14 for the PS4 and…
