so i just beat halo 4 tonight with my friend on co-op. and OH.MY.GOD. this is the game is amazing. the sound in this game blew me away, the guns the music everything. the graphics to are just stunning. halo has always made me stop and look around at the huge world im playing in, but man this game i stood there for minutes looking at the place. ill admit the game started off kinda slow and i wasnt really feeling it for a while. but once the bad guy showed up it started to feel right and things were great from then untill the stunner ending. my friend and i both almost cried, we were both yelling at the end from the amazement that we just watched.      if you are a fan of halo this game will not dissipoint, and even if you arnt you might wanna give it a try. my other friend isnt a big halo fan but after playing with me for a couple hours he wants to buy it.  this game is a great way to start off the new trilogy and i cant wait for halo 5. if you didnt like ODST and REACH  dont worry, if you like halo CE you will love this. halo is back and it brought the chief with it.  now i dont wanna start any flame wars or fanboy wars, but after having only cod for so long, its feels great to be playing a halo with the MC in it. i like to think im not a halo fanboy, but man i get giddy when ever i see a new halo game with MC in it.     so to those who have played what did you think?  is 343 off to a good start?        sorry if this blog is a little rough, im just so pumped from beating the game still.       so thank you for reading and have a GREAT day!

Am I really in the minority in thinking Reach was the absolute best in the franchise until now? The way I see it, Halo in general has pretty much been a franchise of constant progress, with each new installment proving better than the last, and Reach was the epitome of quality in Bungie's Halo career, in my eyes.

Anyhow, cheers to two more games from a developer that has more than proved itself capable at filling Bungie's shoes. Well done, 343!

Whilst I personally didn't like the story I'm Reach, mechanically yes they have been improving every time. Although I've only played a little of Halo 4 so far I've been pretty impressed. Heard on Side Mission this week that 343i went in a changed every single sound in the game, and it sounds stunning now (even Neil's soundtrack is great, not sure if Marty O'Donnell great but hey).

I fully agree with you. I finished it yesterday coop with a buddy aswell, and I loved every bit of it although I'm not a core Halo fan. Eventhough the back story in Halo 4 is slightly convoluted, I still don't fully understand who the badguy is and what not. Also, the 'end boss fight' if you wanna call it that is a quicktime event, which is sad. I also felt it was slightly on the short side.

Other than that, it was awesome and it looked absolutely beautifull. It feels a bit like the very first time I played Halo, which is what, ten years ago? The music is especially epic. Martin O'donnel was overated, Neil Davidge did an amazing job.

I'm trying out the multiplayer now, I feel that 343 took just enough from other shooters, like custom loadouts for example, whilst retaining its core gameplay.

In short, fairly exellent job by 343 studios.

i dont like that the terminals tell the forrunner story instead of it being in the game.

Do YOU think console makers should keep it simple?
Yes, I need a controller, graphic horsepower, and an 'on' button...that's it 0%
Its not realistic to think mainstream consumers will buy a device that only does one thing0%
I actually like all the entertainment options and hope they can be balanced with gaming0%
Keeping it simple is fine, but if everyone does that then no one stands out; console makers half to also stand apart0%

PSN Plus Instant Game Collection (May to July 2014)

Back again to give my impressions of games that I have played (and many I failed to complete) thanks to the PSN plus instant library.

Stealth Inc.: A Clone in The Dark

The first on a long list of games that I failed to complete. I enjoyed the puzzles, it was well polished for an indie title and it is a perfect fit for mobile gaming. I played it in bite size amounts and ended up logging three or four hours into it. If I had more of an opportunity to…

What I don't get is the pricing structure. 3 dollars for 4 hours of game is absurd. 15 dollars for 90 days of one old game, that you can pretty much buy at that price is also nonsense. How can Sony…Continue
