Most Anticipated Games of 1st Quarter 2013

Hey fellow Axeheads,

Lately I've been thinking about how ridiculous the first quarter of next year is going to be in terms of game releases. Here is a rundown of some of the titles coming out:

January:

Anarchy Reigns

Ni No Kuni

DMC

February:

Sly 4

Dead Space 3

Aliens Colonial Marines

Bioshock Infinite

Metal Gear Rising Revengeance

March:

God of War Ascension

Tomb Raider

South Park the Stick of Truth

Rayman Legends

Gears of War Judgment

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3

and more...

Yes is your jaw on the floor??!! Cause mine definitely is!!! I just wanted to know which of these releases my fellow Axeheads are excited about and will be picking up day 1. I personally will be picking up Ni No Kuni, Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, and God of War Ascension on day 1. I am getting their respective limited/collectors editions so that's why I'm only picking those up since they will be more expensive. Some of the other titles I will get through Gamefly, others I will pick up down the line when they drop in price.

Yeah both my brain and wallet hurts when I start thinking about the Q1 games of 2013. On that list I'm picking up Ni No Kuni and South Park on day 1 to be sure. Maybe Tomb Raider as well, but I'm waiting to see what the collector's edition will contain first.

I'm sure NISA will have a game out in either February or March, so that will be another one added to my list (god [of war] help me if they have a release in March x__x)
Plus I'm confident that I'm going to get Injustice: Gods Among Us on day 1... Solomon Grundy as a playable character kind of sold me and then they revealed that pretty cool statue of Wonder Woman about to bash in Batman's head with Superman's original space-pod.

Tales of Xillia!!!

Out of all that, I think I'm most looking forward to Ni No Kuni, Sly 4: Thieves in Time (the demo that came with the R&C HD Collection was brilliant), Bioshock Infinite, and now GTA V.

My only day-ones are God of War Ascension and Tomb Raider.

DmC, Dead Space 3, and Bioshock Infinite are wait 'n see.

Ni No Kuni and GTA V.

I'm interested in Ni No Kuni, and South Park - none of these are day one buys for me. Some of them have promise though. I'll be excited to see more about GTA5 as it approaches in the spring.

@LordX: I'm super excited about South Park since I'm a big fan of the series, but I believe Obsidian are the guys making it, and they don't have the best track record as of late.
@Davis: Is that for the consoles or the portables?
@Amrit: I've never played a Sly game, but they seem right up my alley because I love platformers. I definitely want to check out Bioshock Infinite. I'm debating on whether that will be day 1 or not. I just saw the news about GTAV and all I gotta say is damnit!
@Abel2Disable: Tomb Raider is looking great!!! I'm definitely agree on waiting for DMC and Dead Space 3. Bioshock has me worried with all the studio departures.
@Equinoxe: Now that GTAV is around this time frame it's even more ridiculous lol. Ni No Kuni is looking fantastic!
@Alexander Arts: I'm also real excited to hear more about GTAV!

@Israel Have you played the Sly Cooper HD Collection?  Cause if you haven't, that's definitely the place to start.  Three amazing titles.  And exactly like you said, if you love platformers, you'll love Sly Cooper.

I forgot to mention that the games I listed may not be day 1 buys for me, cause I highly doubt I'll actually have money to get all them at $59.99.  All look brilliant, but I might just have to wait for them to get cheaper.

@Amrit: I actually haven't played the Sly Cooper HD Collection. I've been meaning to pick it up for the longest, just haven't gotten around to it yet. I will probably get it over Christmas break.

Yeah definitely understandable that you can't pick them all up on day 1. I've never mentioned it before but I love your picture of Grandpa Gohan and Goku :)

@Israel: Yeah Obsidian's involvement is the only thing that concerns me about South Park; however, all early reports have been positive so that's good.

@Davis: Oh god, I totally forgot about Tales of Xillia... That's another PS3 game to add to the growing list x__x
