I just officially deactivated my gametrailers.com account. I don't know what happened to that site but since Shane left it's been trash. The ads have nothing to do with games. They're ripping off shows from Sequelitis. Even the video quality of Invisible Walls is less then it was before somehow. The whole site is just fluff now. It's a clear example of why corporations can't be involved in the review process.
Comment by Amrit Randay on February 11, 2013 at 1:21pm Honestly, the only thing I watch on GT now is Annoyed Gamer with Marcus Beer, the Pop Fiction series, and the Bonus Round. Everything else, I agree, is pretty terrible and has been for a while now.
Comment by Wildo the Magnificent on February 11, 2013 at 1:23pm Bonus Round may still be worth it, as long as they don't water it down like they have been everything else.
Comment by Equinoxe on February 11, 2013 at 2:01pm Bonus Round, Annoyed Gamer, IW, Sidemission Briefing (just in case you missed it last month, there were lengthy interviews with Ron Gilbert and Ken Levine). Then there is the occasional The Depth, a feature named after a level in Dark Souls!!! Oh, and Epic Battle Axe :)
More than enough for me to stay with GT.
Comment by Wildo the Magnificent on February 11, 2013 at 2:03pm IW's changed. It's not as good. EBX obv though..
Comment by Equinoxe on February 11, 2013 at 2:09pm Well, I really liked the last episode of IW. Great discussion on Dead Space 3 and horror games in general. I also do not feel, IW has changed much over the years, well apart from going on cam a while ago and the recent departure of Shane.
Comment by Simon on February 11, 2013 at 2:13pm Shane left? Hmm i might try it out again as i largely disagreed with everything he said and stopped listening.
Comment by Israel Pacheco on February 11, 2013 at 2:35pm As far as I know, MTV has been GT's parent company for years. I personally haven't had any issues with the content since Shane's departure. I like that they have changed up the format for reviews and got rid of all the different categories and percentages etc. It was sad to see Shane go since I've been a frequent viewer to the site since about the time he came on board. I didn't always agree with him, but I always had respect for him.
Comment by Wildo the Magnificent on February 11, 2013 at 2:56pm I feel the same way. I didn't agree with him always but I feel he was sorta the glue that kept that ship moving.
Comment by Gabriel Belmont on February 11, 2013 at 3:36pm The site itself sucks since they removed everything that was good about it, no blogs, no user profile pages, they removed your post history too and forums have consist errors all the time as well... I do look through the forums every now and again especially in the FF section but there seems to be too many idiots and trolls posting generally, which the forum ruined by those douchebags Dx but I do like the new main page and most of the featured videos.
Invisible Walls: Is much better without Shane interrupting everyone when they state their opinions, I liked that Shane had a different view point but it was how he put his opinion across which ruined the show. The show is much more smoother because of Shane leaving as well and the episodes are shorter now which is better imo but I do think someone else should host the show instead of Marcus.
Reviews: They changed their review format and got rid of the separate scoring aspect, all I can say is finally! the old format sucked and people always looked only at the scores they give rather than actually listening to the review. There is still the final score though but it's better without the separate categories. I also like the fact that they now state who reviewed the game which is great.
Bonus Round: Not the best show they have but it depends on the discussion they are having, if I'm interested in the subject then BR is a pretty decent show, if not then it's boring... it also depends which guests are on the show. I know alot of people don't like Geoff Keighley but I like his views on games, even though he does act like a twat sometimes I think that is what his job is about asking questions and getting answering, which requires being abit of douche...
GTTV: Always been a good show imo but I think there has been a lack of them recently, I'm not sure if they changed the amount of episodes they do.
Annoyed Gamer: I like Marcus on this show since he gives a more personal viewpoint on video game related things which are usually interesting (also because he is British!) but I do find him on too many shows at the moment...
Pach-Attack: It's nice to see a business viewpoint on video games but Michael Pachter's knowledge on games and other things sucks... he does seem to get alot of things wrong and GT users tend to disagree with him and prove him wrong.
GT Retrospective: Awesome show is great how they go through different games and their history of the series. Wish they did more of them though or add more parts to the ones they have already done since more games in the series have come out.
LEVEL & POP FICTION: These are also awesome shows, nice to see awesome level designs especially in games I never played myself as well as hidden secrets to games where they prove it to be fact or fiction. Great shows! :)
Angry Video Game Nerd: Always fun to watch especially when the game is extremely difficult and frustrating! It's also nice to see the games before my time that I never got to play.
Hey Ash & Mega 64: Never liked these shows... they become annoying and I find them pointless to watch :/
Timeline: One of their new shows which I love since they have put in alot of effort and work into them, only problem is there are spoilers so if you haven't played some of the games in the series then it's best to avoid them until you do same goes with the GT Retrospective actually.
EpicBattleCry: BEST SHOW ON GT BY A MILE!!! ;) can't beat DK's puns!
Also the Ads can be blocked using Ad Blocker... and I'm sorry but they do not rip off shows from "Sequelitis" he creates Cartoons... GT does not, there is only 1 episode that has been similar to his so I don't get this point... Sequelitis also does things that the Angry Video Game Nerd has done before but I don't think he is ripping off his shows...
Overall I like GT and still use it because of their videos, the majority of users ruin the forums and the site features isn't what it used to be like, if only it was more like EBA with all it's extra features, users and awesomeness! :)
Comment by Wildo the Magnificent on February 11, 2013 at 3:38pm Go watch the LEVEL episode of Megaman X, then watch the Sequelitis version and tell me they didn't rip it off.

Hello fellow Axeheads! As the great AVGN would say; "What a shitload of fuck!" I am, of course, referring to the Xbox One. Everyone has been frothing at the mouth and having seizures over the calamitous reveal.
Now... It's not really my place to jump on the wagon of despair. After all, I don't own an Xbox 360 and…
Hi Microsoft its me, the little guy who's been buying your consoles for the last ten years. Just wanted to let you now how excited I was by your new console reveal. Sure I would have liked to see more games (maybe even one being played) but I get why you didn't go that route. The reveal was a focus on the system itself right and you wanted to keep it relevant to actual specs and functionality, like when you announced a Halo TV show. Things like that were why people tuned in and I'm sure its…
