I wish I could listen to the previous episodes of TAF again, I guess I'm just nostalgic like that
Comment by Fredrik Pedersen on January 29, 2013 at 3:06pm Personally, I haven't gotten into Kickstarter all that much. My income and my money consumption atm are nearly 1:1 :p However, I think it is really quite cool that people are able to get funding straight from their consumers. I suppose it just benefits me either way, because more games are being made now and the devs are a lot more open during development
I am worried though that people might get scammed, that projects will turn out to be vaporware etc. Do Kickstarter have any systems in place to reduce scams?
Comment by Hunts Hans on January 29, 2013 at 3:37pm I totally understand if people are concerned about the outcome of Bioshock: Infinite. But personally i believe in Ken Levine and the gameplay and storybits i've seen so far prove me. I think the people at 2K just want to pull some more people into the franchise because it isn't that popular yet. And the alternative boxart is also a sign that the hardcore bishock fans are still recognised. So forth Bioshock is my most anticipated game of 2013, i cant wait. If u doubt the game still, watch the latest trailer and get hooked.
Comment by Axe Me Anything on January 29, 2013 at 5:48pm This is so strange... I dunno what it is but I'm getting speeds of about 10 kb/sec when trying to download this episode from Podbean... says it will take between 1 and 2 hours! The iTunes version says the same thing.
I know it's not my internet connection cos I just tried downloading some other stuff and I'm getting 3-4 mb/sec... I smell a conspiracy.
This does kinda suck tho cos I'm not gonna be able to listen to this until Thursday, as I'm going away for a few days. Oh, well...
Comment by Fredrik Pedersen on January 29, 2013 at 5:56pm I got the same thing as you, Axe
Comment by Ninja Grandmaster Hattori Hanzō on January 29, 2013 at 7:38pm maybe its a server issue
Comment by Christopher Brady on January 30, 2013 at 3:24am Truth be told, as long as people understand that when you donate money to Kickstarter, that's what you're doing. There is no implicit promise of money being properly spent, you are buying a chance, a hope.
Comment by Alexander Arts on January 30, 2013 at 5:09am You guys better not fucking stop cursing! Sorry to hear you embarrassed yourself Lorin, buuuuut you know, you should just remember your show isn't for kids, it's for us MANLY gamers (and womanly?) Anyway, I know how it feels when you are proud of something and want to show it to others, but then realize its too controversial or not something they would like - but that's life.
Comment by Miguel Ramos on January 30, 2013 at 5:38am Hi guys, what was said in Gametrailers was not about game engines or technology. It was about established properties. That is, Double Fine is know for adventure games, so they get money to make another adventure game. The Wasteland guys get money to make Wasteland 2. So people invest in something they know and have already played something like it. That's why it's not a good place to advance the games industry. It has been a rehash of old known trends.

Many, many people have opinions on the next generation of consoles, gaming and what appears to be a new breed of multimedia devices. As a consumer and with an avid interest in technology I hope I have a unique look at what has been presented as the future of what we all love,…

Hello fellow Axeheads! As the great AVGN would say; "What a shitload of fuck!" I am, of course, referring to the Xbox One. Everyone has been frothing at the mouth and having seizures over the calamitous reveal.
Now... It's not really my place to jump on the wagon of despair. After all, I don't own an Xbox 360 and…
Hi Microsoft its me, the little guy who's been buying your consoles for the last ten years. Just wanted to let you now how excited I was by your new console reveal. Sure I would have liked to see more games (maybe even one being played) but I get why you didn't go that route. The reveal was a focus on the system itself right and you wanted to keep it relevant to actual specs and functionality, like when you announced a Halo TV show. Things like that were why people tuned in and I'm sure its…
