Comment by Resident Emo on March 19, 2013 at 5:05am Hope you end up enjoying the Borderlands 2 DLC Brent.
They ended up being a horrible disappointment and waste of money for me. Especially considering the fact Gearbox didn't bother working on any of the first three.
Comment by Alexander on March 19, 2013 at 5:46am I wear glasses, so i guess i will never ever have a use for the oculus "headache" rift
Comment by Lorin Baumgarten on March 19, 2013 at 5:49am Alexander - They are making it usable for people with glasses. As a matter of fact, even the Dev kit has exchangeable eye cups to help people with glasses use it better.
Comment by Mishiko Bjalava on March 19, 2013 at 5:51am the video stops at 71:31.. WTF :(
Comment by Hokum on March 19, 2013 at 6:18am @Mishiko The sideplayer has the full show
Comment by Marcis Jekabsons on March 19, 2013 at 6:35am I understand Lorin, when he talks about Deus Ex being boring.
I have a system - if I do not like the game right away, I step away, and wait for a month or two, maybe longer. Then I try to play the game again. If I can't get into it then, I give it one more shot after few months. If I can't stand the game even after that, then I label the game as "shit" (for my taste). It is a great system and I've been able to filter out some true gems, that I did not like at first.
Deus Ex is a really boring game, even when I was insanely hyped for Cyberpunk 2077 and was ready to play anything that had cyberpunk theme. It actually is one of the most boring games I have ever played. This and Skyrim (I actually fell asleep playing Skyrim. That's when I knew - that game is not for me)
With Tomb Raider, however, I fell in love instantly. I love Uncharted games (have not played Uncharted 3, I don't have PS3 anymore) and I was dying to play that kind of game on my PC. I spent all Saturday playing the game - I mean right after work from 0730-1900hrs. Never used the instinct button (highly recommend). I felt the need to finish the game 100%. And when the game was done, I felt satisfied, but I also felt that something was missing. Brent actually said it really well. I missed those little cheat codes to make next playthroughs more fun, I missed some skins that could have been unlocked.
About Oculus Rift. I'm sorry, but I can't see the need for this kind of thing. Maybe it is because I have not had the chance to try it out, but, to be honest, I don't even want to try it out.
Comment by LordX on March 19, 2013 at 6:58am @Lorin Like you I'm excited for Injustice as well. Most of that excitement being due to the fact that I'm a big comic book fan. I would highly recommend that you read the Injustice: Gods Among Us prelude comic book. It sets up the story and shows just how dark (and awesome) they are taking things.
Comment by Alexander on March 19, 2013 at 8:19am @Lorin: Ok that is good, because the 3D hype never got my as there was never ever somebody that bothered about the fact that wearing glasses + Shutter glasses is awkward as hell.... Thus the only 3d movie i watched was avatar, was ok but luckily they had passive glasses that are lighter. Here in switzerland 99.9% of the cinemas have shutter glasses and how they work with normal glasses....
On the oculus thing: I hope they will bring cool stuff out but i will still never buy one, im too much the old "relax in my couch while having an open fov to look arround".
(replace couch with chair for PC :) ). But i was also never much into all that motion stuff, i just wand to sit down and play with accurate direct and fast controls.
Still, technology wise its cool stuff.
Comment by Ernest P on March 19, 2013 at 8:47am Lorin, peaking of old west games. I really liked GUN from Neversoft. They totally need to make a sequel with the scalping and the beer health pacs.
Is Neversoft still alive?
Comment by Docwoor on March 19, 2013 at 9:10am @Lorin: I'm not able to find your Steam account :( could you post your name please. Thanks

Hello fellow Axeheads! As the great AVGN would say; "What a shitload of fuck!" I am, of course, referring to the Xbox One. Everyone has been frothing at the mouth and having seizures over the calamitous reveal.
Now... It's not really my place to jump on the wagon of despair. After all, I don't own an Xbox 360 and…
Hi Microsoft its me, the little guy who's been buying your consoles for the last ten years. Just wanted to let you now how excited I was by your new console reveal. Sure I would have liked to see more games (maybe even one being played) but I get why you didn't go that route. The reveal was a focus on the system itself right and you wanted to keep it relevant to actual specs and functionality, like when you announced a Halo TV show. Things like that were why people tuned in and I'm sure its…
