So, the beta on pc.. i played it.

Here's my thoughts so far.

The gameplay is engaging fast pass action both as Pilot and as Titan. The wall running and jetpack jumping all feels natural and intuitive but you still need to know your way around the map to make full use of the ability to climb and jump wherever you want. The first few hours you will jump to places and fall back down again. Obviously, the more time you spend playing the game, the better you get at it. The parcour stuff does make for some great action play though. Jumping over a wall shooting another player with your shotgun while in mid air is satisfying to say the least. On the other hand, shooting someone with a well placed Titan shot while he's wallrunning is equally good.

The game seems to be well balanced apart from a few details (the "dart gun" is way overpowered in my opinion). The maps look good and theres plenty of places to go, both inside and outside. I do feel that at some points the maps are to small for the titans. Theres been several occassions where me and my team had multiple titans in the same area and you start to block each other while moving around and simply walk in each others way when trying to get a shot off at an enemy.

Leveling goes fast. I played for about an hour and im already at level 10. You unlock guns and classes as you go. As well as Burn Cards, wich give you temporary boosts within a match. Apart from take 40secs off your titan build i havent seen anything very usefull so far though.

So far ive only played TDM but there are other modes as well. TDM matches are a bit on the short side for me. If a match takes 10mins then its probably long. Could be longer in my opinion. Everytime you start to get into it a little its over again. Make it 20mins at least.

Overall its fun and addicting to play and i can recommend it to any FPS lover.

My friends on the XboxOne who have the beta say that the AI group together and isn't all that smart. This true on the PC side also?

The AI isnt smart no.. They spawn in pods that drop from the air and usually stick together. Sometimes you see one dragging a friendly "to safety" disregarding everything else thats happening around them. Ive also encountered friendly and enemy AI fighting against each other, just kinda holding hands and pushing eachother around or sumtin lol

If you think the AI is going to provide any challenge then you are wrong. They are simply there to fill up space and let you as player rack up points. They will shoot at you but rarely kill you, if at all.

At the end of the round you see the score list. 6 Pilot kills - 2 Titan kills - 28 Grunt(AI) kills.

I've now played about an hour and my biggest fear did thankfully not come true; I did not get motion sickness from the game, despite it being a source engine game. I did turn the FOV all the way up to 90 (default 70), but overall my problem with source engine is that movement is flaoty and thankfully Titanfall isn't.

For me the AI units switch between being easy cannon fodder and a distraction; being too busy taking down the AI units and getting shot in the back by a player, but I guess that it is just a matter of time before one can distinguish the two at a glance.

Yeah...the parkour works well...probably my favorite aspect of the game.  The maps are well designed for foot troops too....lots of paths thorough and around structures.  Titans are ok...fun for a while, but I don't love them.  there were several times that I hesitated to call them because I was having more fun on the ground.  Definitely designed for high pace and high kills...I went 23 and 4 in my very first round and I finished 4th on my team of six.  I actually wish they had made a single player campaign...is an interesting world with interesting mechanics.  As of now, not a $60 title for me...but I have only played an hour.  I will play more and see if it grows on me.  How long does the beta last anyway?

I agree. I reckon the Parkour is the strongest aspect of Titanfall and how it fits in so well.
