Is it just me or does that seem... late?

I feel like that date is important for some reason, like some other game or piece of hardware I really wanted came out on the 9th once.

It does indeed seem late Aussie, as much hype as we have been getting for Destiny I would of guessed spring or latest summer 2014. Granted this is bungie we are talking about and it does take them forevahhhhh in order to get things out, least for their AAA releases. They'll tell you its because they want it so perfect and polished but somehow I really doubt that is the case. I like halo and all but it always felt like their was one thing or another that was... Missing or not quite fleshed out.

Why are so many surprised the release date is this late? I actually expected it to be later in 2014. I dont mind the wait if it means a more polished game and stable multi experience.

The Axe Factor Poll!

What do YOU think the game industry should do to address social injustice?
Nothing, everyone should make the games they want to and include whatever they like0%
Provide players a choice with regard to gender/ethnicity/sexuality0%
At every stage of the process, simply ask "Are we being exclusionary?"0%
Other (Post a comment on TAF 156)0%
Not much needs to happen beyond raising awareness, people will make better choices once they understand why its important0%
Accurate information needs to be injected so publishers understand that being inclusionary doesn't equate financial loss0%

Gamer or QA tester? Early Access (long)

On the 16th of May 2007 the Halo 3 public Multiplayer Beta saw release for members of Microsoft's Xbox Live Subscription service. Ostensibly the build was disseminated to test the matchmaking system, network loads and game balance but the use of an outdated iteration or 'Build', the heavy marketing and it's bundling with another…
