Wait, so you buy this version of Elder Scrolls: Online for 80€... and you only get to play for 30 days before you gotta pay up. Fuck that.

There is also an edition for 54€, but still massive bullshit. Pick EITHER a full-price entry, or subscription-based.... not BOTH!

Isn't that supposed to the only way you can play an imperial too? It all sounds terrible to me.

No offence, but thats what every MMO ever did up until wrath of the lichking was released, and many after that. Is it really something to get upset about?
Comment by Tralamazza on January 31, 2014 at 2:38pm
yup apparently Imperial are a deluxe pre-order only thing

@Johnny Blaze While I am not well versed in MMOs, as a consumer that might be interested in this game, I find it very off-putting. I was considering getting into it, but now, there's not a snowball's chance in hell I will even touch it. The game market is waaaaay too crowded for them to pull anything like this. I can literally play anything I want, right now, for a much lower price. I might be wrong though.

It will be interesting to observe how they do with this model. I will be observing from very far away, though.

And I am just saying, 80€ or 54€ is a lot of money in the first place. That should get me the game, instead I pay that for the privilege to try it, and will have to pump if I want to keep playing the game that I just bought for a lot of money.

I'm with Fredrik. Once upon a time it was common practice, but no more. I think the have overestimated their own product. I feel like the very cool trailers are doing one thing, and that's making me wish that they were working on a proper TES game.
