Comment by Gabriel Belmont on January 3, 2013 at 4:53pm Not really sure why people are complaining anyway, even if it is tagged to your account so is every digital game you download, Value have done this with Steam for years... they might be cheaper but it's still all tied to your account regardless... Wii U have done this but to a dumber extent where your account is actually tied to your system...
If the content is actually tied to your account on the PS4 then hopefully prices of the games either go down or at least stay the same and if this prevent prices from rising then I'm all for it.

Comment by Fredrik Pedersen on January 3, 2013 at 5:01pm If I buy the physical disc, it should be my right to sell it off if I feel like it.
Comment by Talis12 on January 3, 2013 at 5:07pm @fredrik, True, it should be your right to do so. I am wondering how legal it even is to lock it up like this.
I see this as the first step to digital only for consoles. Because if it's tide to your account what difference would it make to buy a physical disc or a digital download? Very thin line of difference you will have then. Before you know it a limited edition will not include a disc but just the statue with the code printed on the bottom.
Comment by Gabriel Belmont on January 3, 2013 at 6:26pm @Talis12 lol I also agree they will eventually have collector's editions where you end up getting all the extras but no game just a digital code for it xD
The key to all this is price as I don't see how I will be able to pay full whack for digtial games especially if I have no clue how good the game is, I rarely buy games for full as it is but currently on PSN people are already paying for overpriced digital games :/ I don't mind paying for digital games as long as the prices goes down similar to Steam but if prices go up then we have a problem... D:
I would probably end up just buying my most wanted games and getting the rest from PS+ which I do now anyways and I usually never sell them... so it probably won't even effect me much in the end.

Hey all. As I said in this week's episode of The Axe Factor, we won't be able to record EpicBattleCry this week. With DK still out of town and a last minute snag in Tony's schedule, we just weren't able to carve out the time to get together.
In light of today's news vis-a-vis Microsoft, that might not be such a terrible thing since we normally record on Tuesday and we would have completely missed out on discussing this dramatic reversal. In any case, we should be…
Grab the scissors and run, its The Axe Factor! This week, we investigate the news that Microsoft decieved the world by running their E3 demos on high-end Nvidia gaming rigs and why the company suddenly finds itself in such troubled waters. Plus, we examine Tom Clancy's The Division, go hands-on with Remember Me, The Last of Us, and more!

As I am typing this, we're deep inside the annual summer gaming drought of 2013. The last interesting current gen game I played was Bioshock Infinite. I'm now waiting patiently for The Last of Us to drop through the mail slot. In the interim, I have amused myself by going back and playing a whole bunch of the old Metroid titles. And I've had an absolute blast doing so. It's been one of the most nostalgic and satisfying gaming periods of my entire life. I replayed and finished all five of the…
After some discussion with the axeheads I asked myself what I want out of the next generation of gaming. And my answer is suprising. |It is neither better grafics or better AI. It does not even have to do with hardware.
What I want from the next generation the most is the introduction of used game sales for digital games. As soon as one of the major platforms does that I will go all digital, never looking back.
So, what would you like to see?
This bold statement was made by Nintendo and features on the Polygon site.

The Last Of Us is a slow game, intentionally slow, because it has a story to tell and takes the time to do it. Naughty Dog knows that if you're not making an "action" game, then you need to engage…Continue

One of the best games I've played this year has managed to caught my attention in more ways than one. I've decided to revisit the topic of violence in games to tell a story and to reference a few…Continue
