I think it's the sandbox nature of the game and the ability to play 2 ways: to explore & build or to simply build anything to your hearts desire. Like I killed several hours building the layout of space invaders the other day XD

I played the demo when it came out. Didn't get it, but stuck with it for an hour or so and got hooked. To this day I still don't know why I play it exactly, I just can't help myself. My advice is give it a couple hours and if you still don't like it, then it's not for you.

Just watched LordX's video where he built classic Nintendo 8-bit characters. The ability to create these iconic characters from little blocks is making me want to play it now. Looks fun!

I guess i just get the appeal of creating in a virtual world, i rather create in real life instead.

Never "played" Mincraft, but I guess, it's digital Lego. And Lego is awesome!

Minecraft is definitely different butt sit down listen to a podcast or some music and play it for a spell you might change your mind. It's a good pallet cleanser between game's.

I'm Making A Game

Actually that's been the plan for a while now I just failed to mention it here before. I did type up a development document, track down freeware programs to make it and finished the concept art work. Then I spent the last four months doing nothing. I recently came to the conclusion that my idea, while interesting, was waaaay too ambitious a project for me to undertake right now. I hope to revisit the idea sometime in the future but for now it's very much in storage.

So why bring this…
