The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, has confirmed multiplayer modes, quick-time events, and DRM are not part of the plan http://ning.it/10Endvm

I wonder how they're going to do brawls (if they're still in the game). Will they work like normal combat or will they revert back to The Witcher style where you are locked in a small area, strafing, free to attack and block on animation tells.

Hey, that sounds awesome! :D

Definitely like TW1's brawling over TW2's quick time brawling. Weird how they opted for QTEs in brawling when the actual combat was so amazingly well done. Love CD Projekt RED.

Its CD Projekt, I am unsuprised by their awesomness at this point :)

They kind of adressed the DRM thing immediately after witcher 2 was cracked, but it's nice to have it restated.

I was to preorder this game anyway.

Also, I don't think that brawling does qualify as QTE, where you are in a series of button prompts. QTE are those button prompts out of nowhere to let you make or fail some cinematic action scene.

I would argue that a series of buttons prompts is a QTE, but w/e. I hated them in the hunting in AC3, and I think I would have hated them in the combat in Witcher 3. Even though I haven't played 1 and 2, I'm glad 3 won't have QTEs in the combat.

Leigh Alexander Gets Fisked

So Leigh Alexander at Gamasutra, Luke Plunkett at Kotaku and Dan Golding (who has written for many places), have written articles on the same day, on the same subject. That's an interesting coincidence. It is also interesting that Chris Plante over at Polygon also had a very similar article, covering the same issues, on the same day though it was written more as a summary of the past week. Now there are time zones to consider but these were all published within 24…
