Some lucky Qore members have gained early access to the June episode and in it Sony details the new “premium” model PSP. The PSP Go boasts a new 3.8″ screen that slides up to reveal the standard PSP controls and 16GB of built in storage to replace the UMD drive. The new design is smaller and 43% lighter than the previous PSP-3000 model and bluetooth is now standard.
Sony says the Go will not replace the current generation of PSPs but will supplement it as a premium line directed at customers that prefer digital downloads and a smaller form factor. In the video John Koller, Director of Hardware Marketing for SCEA, says that Sony wants to give customers the option of downloading games to their system or holding physical media in their hands.
The unit is said to be ready for a Fall 2009 release alongside some highly anticipated titles; mentioned, but not shown, were Gran Turismo and a new Metal Gear Solid. Sony’s E3 press conference is scheduled for June 2nd at 11:00am and we’ll have more details for you then.

wow… is this fake or something
I dont think it is cause Qore is pretty official
No second analogue means that games won’t be developed exclusive to the GO which is a dissapointment.
the price will be the big selling point, if they can make it competitive to the DS it will be the handheld for hardcores, unless Microsoft comes out with somthing
The only real improvement is the ability for sony to increase internet support. I think we will find Home and text chat on this psp.I’ve been holding back on the PSP but this is nearly enough for me to get a GO. WE’ll see at E3…. RhysJamesQuote
I love the look of the Go but im not sure the redesign justifys me buying the new model.
what real advantage over the older version does the newer model have.
theres no UMD-drive so that makes you wonder if the games are going to be downloaded or cartridge based?
guess until the E3 Show when all details are released we wont really know. freepspgoQuote
