The highly anticipated movie/comic tie-in game Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is set to be released on August 10th on the PlayStation Network, just a few days before the movie of the same name. The price has now been revealed on the Ubisoft store to be a cool $9.99.
Also detailed on the Ubisoft store is a pre-order bonus for the “destined to be a cult classic” title. By pre-ordering the game for the PlayStation, you will get a “Sex Bob-omb” t-shirt for your PlayStation Home avatar. An odd bonus, to be sure, but you don’t see many pre-order bonus’ for PSN titles to begin with. So, if you want to dress up your PS Home avatar, well here ‘ya go.
The game is also set to be released on the XBLA on August 25th, but no word of a pre-order bonus or price for the Xbox just yet (though we would imagine in will be 800 MS Points).
This is a first, a Pre-order DLC goodness. And wait…. 10 bucks!? This is far better than expected.
But wait… I went to the store and is not there. What happend????
Update:aparently is only US PSN only and by that I mean US IP’s. I’m from Puerto rico and part of US soil (a commonwealth) but still not apply to the offer. THIS SUCKS!!!
Never read Scott Pilgrim and prolly wont see the movie, but I am Loving this game, cant wait to play it.
Not to be negative on you but if your not into comics or graphic novels, at least go to your closest Borders or equivalent and give it a seat in to some pages. It’s worth it.
Oh, I am a fan of comics, Im just saying Im not too interested in the movie, Unless I hear that its actually good. I am however curious to read the original material (the comics) becuase I know exactly one person who has read them and he speaks highly of them. This game makes a good excuse to look em up though.
There was fair amount of tweets out there from the people that where at the screenings on Comic Con and said it was good. Also IGN gave it a 4 out of 5 stars. IGN is very picky on comic and pop culture movies, so I say it’s gotta give it justice a good review.
is this actually $10 when it comes out on the PSN?
because if it is, then I don’t know why it’s being priced at 1200 Microsoft points as reported on different sites like IGN and Geek.com.
if those sources are true, then you might save more money by just buying it on PSN.
