After Sony’s surprise announcement yesterday in which they claimed to have console exclusivity of the new Final Fantasy XIV MMORPG Square Enix is saying not so fast … well kind of.

“In terms of all other hardware, including Microsoft consoles, we are considering all options at this time,” Square Enix Senior VP Shinji Hashimoto said, via translator, at a press conference this morning.

As of now, Final Fantasy XIV is slated for a simultaneous worldwide launch on both the PlayStation 3 and PC sometime in 2010.  As always stay tuned to the ‘Axe for any changes.
