The weekend is upon us Axeheads, thus ending another work week and finally giving us the chance to gather this week’s rumors and give them the blessing or slaughtering they deserve. Hurray! This week was definitely a green themed week, and by green I mean an Xbox 360 themed week. Now, before you start calling me a fanboy or other hurtful words just know that I obviously have no control over what the rumors of the week are. I wish I did, but I didn’t. So for those deeply offended by this you obviously don’t have to read, but for those of you not blinded by the taint of fanboyism who want to take a stroll through this green lineup of rumors, grab your axes – it’s time for some slaying courtesy of EpicBattleAxe.com’s The Rumor KILL!

Just the mere mention of “GoldenEye” and most gamers over the age of 20 will start to get all giddy inside as they conjure up fond memories of mega multiplayer and the “AMAZINGLY LIFELIKE” characters from the classic Nintendo 64 shooter. So, now that the game is being re-invented, Executive Producer Julian Widdows uses his fancy accent with supreme effectiveness in this video to describe how uber-awesome the update will be while chatting up the enhancements and new content we can expect.
The vid is pretty interesting and reminds me of why I loved this game so much back in the day, but what I wanna know is how interested are YOU in going Golden once again??? Can the remake live up to the original? What are you hoping they refine? What are you hoping the leave the hell alone? Be sure to sound off and let us know what you’re thinkin’!!!
GoldenEye 007 makes its grand return to the Wii this November.
Remember the days of staying up late and trash talking to your friends after a good round of Goldeneye on the Nintendo 64? Well, you better to get ready to relive those days (and nights) this holiday because Goldeneye 007 is making it’s comeback exclusively on the Wii.
Everything in the debut trailer should remind you of how awesome Goldeneye was, but you may notice something a little different. That’s right, Bond isn’t portrayed by Pierce Brosnan anymore, but rather Daniel Craig from the last two Bond films. That shouldn’t matter however, this game will surely rock!
Check the trailer here to see the frantic gameplay and then let us know what you think on Goldeneye’s triumphant return.

Scale the wall and breech their defenses, its time for another edition of EpicBattleCry! In this week’s skirmish, we open pandora’s box with the new God of War III Ultimate Edition, run down down the details of Netflix on the PS3, check out the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Limited Edition, and ponder the newly announced Nintendo DSi LL.
With Modern Warfare 2 just around the corner, we examine some of the recent news that has cast a shadow over the release of this title; is Infinity Ward ruining their rep with players by charging more for less features with MW2 on PC? Long-running Japanese game mag Famitsu has given Bayonetta a perfect score? Is the game really that good and is there such a thing as a perfect game?
The Battle Cry of the week goes to the DSi LL for boldly establishing the new less-portable trend, Left 4 Dead 2’s avatar awards, the possibility of Goldeneye finally making an appearance on the Wii Virtual Console next year, and all those PC gamers who have vowed not to purchase MW2; are they planning to get some other way?

For whatever reason Craig Peck, an game industry animator, has posted portions of his resume on the internetz. In so doing, he has also revealed that he spent some time at port pros Eurocom working on a Wii version of the classic N64 title GoldenEye. As pointed out by the peeps at Dtoid, Peck’s resume includes the following:
Animator – GoldenEye 2010 (Wii)
Animator on Activision’s James Bond series for the Nintendo Wii assisting in: Key frame animation, the preparation and clean-up of motion capture data, prop animation, in-game cut-scene animation, scene layout, and camera animation.
So, does this solidify rumors that current generation gamers will soon in fact be able to, uh, Bond with one of the greatest games of all time? Does it mean there’s a brand spankin’ NEW version of GoldenEye headed to the Wii? Will it forever end the debate as to whether or not GoldenEye N64 was overrated? We’re not positive, but we’ll keep “Pecking” around for the details…
