Hey Axe Heads, DK here to let you know that we’re celebrating the release of Ubisoft’s Assassins Creed II by giving away several copies of the game’s AMAZING soundtrack from award-winning composer Jesper Kyd! Between Tuesday and Friday of this week (Nov. 17-20) we’ll be selecting one Axe Head at random to receive a promotional 2-Disc CD featuring the atmospheric and engaging score from the game. We’ve listened to it around the Lair and trust me…YOU WANT IT!
There are a few things you have to do to qualify, so be sure to look below for the details. You can sample a bit of the soundtrack now over on Jesper Kyd’s website or purchase it for yourself via digital download on Amazon or iTunes right now!
ENTER TO WIN THE ASSASSIN’S CREED II 2-DISC SOUNDTRACK
What you should know
• You must be 18
• You must live in the US
• You must supply a valid mailing address
• You must be registered with EpicBattleAxe.com
What you need to do
• Send an email to staff[at]epicbattleaxe[dot]com with the subject: ACII Soundtrack
• Include your EBA registered name, full name, age, and address
• If you wanna tell us how much you love AC, Jesper Kyd, EBA or anything else, feel free to do so, we love you too.
What happens next?
We will select one winner at random each day between Tuesday (November 17) and Friday (November 20). That winner will be notified via email and we will send out all of the soundtracks the following week.

ATTN game music lovers, we’ve been sent word this morning that award-winning composer Jesper Kyd has created an “epic” soundtrack for Ubisoft’s upcoming Assassin’s Creed II. Fans of the first game will certainly appreciate his continued effort on the sequel, which promises to deliver music that “propels the action, captures the allure and mystery of the story and immerses players in the breathtakingly detailed settings.”
This time around, Kyd takes the music in an adventurous new direction and crafts what is being called an “immensely diverse, melodic and progressive musical pallete featuring acoustic and symphonic orchestrations with emotional depth and diversity.”
Patrice Desilets, Creative Director over at Ubisoft stated that “Jesper Kyd’s score for Assassin’s Creed II brings players into the Italian Renaissance by providing a true sense of depth for the poignant moments, while also giving a jolt of adrenaline to the action-packed sequences. We are thrilled to have Jesper Kyd back with us in making Assassin’s Creed II an epic title on all levels.” Kyd chimed in himself by stating that, “We created a unique musical identity for Assassin’s Creed II that reflects the character and story of Ezio and elevated the music, both in terms of creativity and live production, to a whole new level.”
Sounds sweet to me!
The original score was recorded with A-List musicians and a Hollywood orchestra and choir at the world-renowned Capitol Studios. The Assassin’s Creed II Original Soundtrack will be available for digital download from popular music stores on November 16th. The game itself of course is scheduled to launch on November 17th.
