God of War Ascension announced

So the trailer apparently was leaked early on Amazon and has made it’s rounds around the web. God of War Ascension has been made official through a statement on the PSBlog by the Sony Santa Monica Studios team. Just with previous installments this trailer covered all the bases, mainly Cryptic and Vague.

Is it a prequel to the original, is it the journey of Kratos after the defeat of Zeus and his ascension and the end of God of War 3? Is it the beginning or a new beginning? Is it an origin story or it the coming full circle tale of redemption.

Nothing is really for certain until more is revealed. Anyone recall Metal Gear Solid 2 or a dozen other games that pulled a surprise switch? For those saying that he did in fact die at the end of GoW 3, is it really hard to believe if said someone has been repeatedly sent to and escaped from hell?

No one really knows but the folks at Sony Santa Monica Studios will be hosting a Q & A live streaming event on Monday, April 30th at 8am Pacific Time on either the PSBlog or the game’s Facebook page. They’ll be answering tweet questions submitted to the Playstation twitter page, so tune in to find out more.

The New York Times has revealed that Sony is going to throw a little bit of money against their marketing of the PS Vita. The Big S is going to spend $ 50 million dollars on the promotion of their latest handheld. But to be honest, how many ads have we seen for this thing in the first place?
