I hope it is backwards compatible, but I highly doubt it. It's cool I guess for me right now since I still have my PS3 to play the PS3 games. I also didn't mind the PS3 not being compatible with the PS2 later because I never had the PS2. Really glad that Sony made those HD collections, otherwise I would have missed some awesome PS2 games.

Not gonna happen.

I think Gaikai would be the solution at least for downloaded games. They could simply see what game you've downloaded from your account and allow to to stream it to your system. When it comes to disc based games thats a different story. I do hope they go for a limited backwards compatible release. Even if its $100 more I'd pay for it.

It is not going to happen. Having PS3 hardware in the PS4 will make it cost more, porting the games is to much work and creating a PS3 emulator on the PS4 is just way out of scope for Sony.

It's a long shot, but look at the Vita. It plays PS1, PSP and Vita games. That said, I'd bet PS2 on PSN rather than them going PS3 discs in PS4.

Today I 'ave been mostly rememberin': Great Gaming Gaffs

Hello fellow Axeheads! As the great AVGN would say; "What a shitload of fuck!" I am, of course, referring to the Xbox One. Everyone has been frothing at the mouth and having seizures over the calamitous reveal.

Now... It's not really my place to jump on the wagon of despair. After all, I don't own an Xbox 360 and…

Dear Microsoft

Hi Microsoft its me, the little guy who's been buying your consoles for the last ten years. Just wanted to let you now how excited I was by your new console reveal. Sure I would have liked to see more games (maybe even one being played) but I get why you didn't go that route. The reveal was a focus on the system itself right and you wanted to keep it relevant to actual specs and functionality, like when you announced a Halo TV show. Things like that were why people tuned in and I'm sure its…
