As rumors of a Wii price cut persist across the interwebs, a new leaked image, supposedly from an upcoming Toys R Us ad, shows a $50 price drop for the Nintendo Wii taking the consumer-friendly casual console down to $199.99. Apparently, this is the exact same console that we’re used to, complete with Wii Sports, and tipsters to Kotaku claim that the above image is from an end of September ad, making the new price cut effective (it it’s real of course) the week of September 27, 2009.
Of course, nothing is 100% confirmed at the moment, but considering both Sony and Msoft’s recent activity, this move by Nintendo wouldn’t come as a surprise. We’ll of course let you know if/when Nintendo makes the price cut official.

Yet, they’d still be making one hundred or so off of every console… and you still need to spend at least another hundred, if not more on the REQUIRED peripherals. AttackOfTheThumbsQuote
