That’s right folks we all saw it coming.  During the Tokyo Game Show live blog, Nintendo made their price drop from $249 to $199 official.

The price drop will go into effect on September 27 (that’s this Sunday for those without a calendar) in the US, but Nintendo did not comment about the rest of the world or the rumored re-bundling in Europe.

Now that the lines have been drawn in the sand for this holiday, it’ll be interesting to see who comes up on top.  All we know for sure is the console war will definitely take full swing once Santa makes his rounds.
